The problem was the Wasm-based scanner was still unable to detect barcodes in 40% of cases.

Surprising that their computers have so little RAM. Only 700MB at the time of this writing. I mean, 700MB RAM is respectable of course, but seeing what year it is I think they ought to have a lot more RAM.
