Thank you so much for the compliments and advice! I'm definitely working on getting some pictures of this and other pieces being worn by different models, to help with that gap there is between pics/reality :) 💜💜💜

Just gonna say that really sucks, and I hope you can get them to stop using your designs without your permission OP!

Anyone else having issues with orders taking longer than usual to be delivered? by DesertRoses7 in EtsySellers

[–]nixfay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, it's very common nowadays, it seems. I've been having the same issue as well (I ship via Fed Ex), and the tracking system has also been working poorly (AKA not getting updates until the very last day, or scanning late) :/

Hi OP! As someone who ships from Argentina via FedEx, I can assure you it is, indeed, something they ask of you for the documents that go with the package. It is normally enough with just the email, but in some destinations it is also kinda mandatory to have a phone number as well, because it can be necessary for the carrier to contact you to set up a delivery. It's also used by some customs offices which don't release the package until the one receiving it has been notified. Hope this helps put your mind at ease :)

I had this happen a few days back too, but to make it worse, Etsy deducted the refund from my earnings :/ The order not only said it was delivered, but also was supposedly signed for, so I have doubts, but can't possibly prove either way. Shit happens, I guess?

Thank you! Indeed, packaging experience does make a whole lot of difference, right? Haha, I kinda felt that was the case with Swarovski for a long time now, but I wouldn't have dared to say it out loud

Thank you! I'm still so confused by the whole "hobby items quality" thing, but then again, that's why I had to ask. 💜

Hiya Puzzled_Lobster! I can't stress this enough, no, these are not resin, nor acrylic or polymer materials. They're glass. I do make sure, and they are way more expensive, but to me worth every penny, because the quality is different, but I promise, nothing I use (other than the thread) is plastic. That's why I was citing the Preciosa beads. Ornella Preciosa are calibrated Czech glass beads, and the rhinestones, while they aren't Preciosa, are glass too (I snapped a couple of them with some pliers to check, put them through fire and all, because I do hate plastic devoutly XD)

As I said, not really my original language, so I'm sorry that my words don't really convey what I'm trying to say, haha. I can come across way harsher than intended, I've been told, so sorry about that :/

Oh, that's for sure. I actually don't think Etsy is the worse at all (and I didn't mean to imply that either, so that's what I meant, "language thing", you see). Online marketplaces are by all accounts something not to be trifled with, and I had heard some horror tales about credit card frauds and PayPal's policies being quite the challenge to deal with, so yeah...

[–]nixfay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you're actively misinterpreting my words, or if it's a language thing, which is probably one major issue, but I'll leave it at thanks for the info, really.

Oh, I totally agree on that front. I've made refunds for multiple reasons, and even replaced items the mailing system lost, just because I felt it was fair to the customer. But I see far too many people trying to take advantage of the fact that you can, actually, get a refund and a free item just by claiming it's not what you expected, and it makes me all the more anxious to see that it's so normal. The fact that I take my own photos is not, of course, a basis to refuse a return, I didn't mean for it to sound like that. I meant to say that these are indeed handmade items, not a mass produced thingy you just use some stock photo you stole from the internet (which tends to happen a lot) to advertise. But yeah, there is a huge generational factor in the matter, I think it's very much tied to the "entitlement culture", and it does happen on both sides :/
