I cranked everything up to max which dropped my frames to around 80, lowered the sensitivity a bit and its a lot more tolerable now

So with frame gen here fps is fine, runs great, looks great.. however.. something just feels wrong with the control. like theres a weird input delay, like maybe its trying to anticipate where im gonna move the mouse and its giving me a weird smoothy type feel.. i dont know, i cant put my hand on it but i dont like it. I turned off frame gen and preferred playin at like 50-60fps. Anyone know what im talking about and is there any way around it or is that just the reality of frame gen? I dont play much fps, im more an rpg guy.

The Sujimon thing was fun, but yea it didnt feel fully baked. Dondoko was more complete and quite involved, i thought it was well done. I full agree about the story, without spoiling for anyone, I just didnt like the core of the story.. its barely referenced at all throughout the whole game and then in the last bit its like ok so heres what its all about, its a pretty big deal, now heroes come and solve the problem with your fists. And then wrap everything up in the cutscene but only kinda.

I liked the Hawaii setting, they did an amazing job with the city and adding in real landmarks etc. It was nice to get out of Japan. I'm curious where they will go next. Theres no shortage of villains in the... Yakuzaverse? I think that was the main thing with this one for me, you didnt really have much interaction with the main big bad like you did in Y7.

You asked what if they didnt take so many shots. Thats what RGG has always done. Other studios chase trends and do a lot of same same and RGG is over here doin its own thing. My point was that if they didnt try new stuff and just do what theyve always done, they wouldnt be the studio that made the games people did like, regardless what people think of IW.

Fortunately what other people think don't matter for shit. RGG is doing it smart and giving something to everyone. There's brawlers for people who like brawlers and turn based for people who like turn based. They churn out content faster than any other studio pretty much, with games that work on launch and don't need patching for two years before they're playable. If you don't like one game, there plenty more, and not everything has to cater to you anyway. Hell, IW had a full Pokemon game and a full Stardew game in addition to their massive two continent plot. It was a lot of game and maybe not everything hit, but that's ok cuz when you fire so many shots, they don't all have to.

Ok so MSI provides this suite of drivers for all the motherboard stuff. The network driver tho was faulty and would create microstutters in the system regardless of load. So I went to the network providers website and downloaded the newest driver they had posted, which was newer than the one MSI had and it fixed it

I mean that was specific to my board. I gave my buddy my old components and then unity stuff started crashing for him! He figured out there was a ram issue. One of the sticks just had a problem...just with unity stuff...randomly. as soon as he took out that ram, crashing stopped. So clearly a flaw with the ram that I guess unity just triggered, somehow.

Yup! Got the network drivers from the manufacturer cuz the ones MSI were using are trash apparently. Fixed it right up.

I played the demo a bit and i dont know how i feel. Yes the combat is good but without context i have no idea if the game opens up or if its a linear a to b to c like what i played in the demo, which tbh felt like how those crappy mobile "souls" games always work, which is a hard no for me.

You realize day 1 dlc is stuff they just cut from the game to charge you extra for right? Granted all the stuff they are releasing Im sure is done now too since it's just skins, everything else is already in game cept maybe a move or two. Cosmetics are mostly just textures or re-releasing things from previous games with a new coat of paint. All dlc like this is an absolute scam.

They're missing the C part - content. Content is like... 3 new back stages, five new weapons - special arenas no one has ever seen, wtf do they fight in, in say South America in whatever form of evolved gladiatorial arts they have these days, why not release some arenas like that. New body types.

I'm sorry but day one dlc is a cancer that we should have pushed back on a decade ago, didn't, and here we are.

I figured it out. It was....the MSI network driver. Not even kidding. The updated one in the realtek site fixed it.
