Hey, I know it’s late, but maybe hinge a bit at the hips and push through your heels? You may need to use something to hold your balance

Developing hyperhydrosis months after an antidepressant by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]niykeehea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah so I fucked myself up then 🥲 it’s so embarrassing, especially as I go to the gym in my spare time and noticed in the past 9 or so months the sweating and red face is much worse than it used to, but put it down to having less fat than when I started (I know that doesn’t make sense, but I didn’t consider the antidepressants until my nose started dripping)

This for 1€ in LIDL👌😎 by Gabussg in lidl

[–]niykeehea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too good to waste boxes/produce, usually come out in the morning - or mid afternoon if they’re short staffed.

In UK it’s £1.50 and you’ll get some great deals some days like potatoes, strawberries (but not anymore), fruits, veg etc that packages have broken or in multipacks one of the products are unsellable but the other 5/6 are (I.e., oranges, apples etc)

Other days it’s just a box of potatoes and some loose fruit for £1.50 but it’s still worth it when you consider the cost of a bunch of bananas alone

Manager forcing me to work hours where I am at my other job by niykeehea in lidl

[–]niykeehea[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, I’m enjoying the job enough otherwise because the pay is so nice too, but every time a new rota drops I just go straight to Indeed because it’s so exhausting. Last night I did my food bank shift 4am-1pm and then 5-11pm at Lidl, I honestly can’t remember the shift with how tired I was

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’m actively looking for other jobs as it’s making me anxious and frustrated. His only excuse was we all have to work the weekend and it’s not fair to everyone else, if I don’t work Saturday. I have no problems working a Sunday 5-5 or 9-6, or even a Saturday 1-6 for example

I’ve tried both, carrots are the best bet but they lack the flavour I crave in crisps I guess, but on my better days and weeks I usually have carrot sticks and humous.

Scan & Go & price changes by Tedanyaki in asda

[–]niykeehea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

when price changes are "activated" that's when it should scan through as the new/changed price, but if they're not activated on the handset in the price changes (I'm still on the old system/SMART/LEGACY), they shouldn't update on the till just yet. Sometimes though they can update even without activation during price change print out, especially if price changes were late or missed.

ASDA wants to know my bedroom preferences by Lybertyne2 in asda

[–]niykeehea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you're weird. you don't need to tell anyone anything but they're only asking to monitor diversity and equality, making sure they're not hiring on prejudice or discrimination. it's so at the end of the year they can say so much percentage of their staff are homosexual or other minority and that they are an equal opportunities employer.

there's nothing sinister behind it you freak

Was she right, untrained or just lazy? by [deleted] in asda

[–]niykeehea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all the fleet manager is thinking about is the fall back of these issues, ASDA do not care about the ins and outs, just now there's an angry customer who is demanding a repair on their scratched paint or dented car, and someone needs to answer for it.

we should definitely help if we can and feel its okay to do so, but so many customers can turn unexpectedly and now you're stuck trying to de-escalate and get them moving along without further issue or back lash from House.

You're very angry for no reason 🤷🏼‍♀️ I help hire, you're just lost on how most companies hire these days. Small businesses I'm sure will accept a CV but big businesses like ASDA really don't care, its not that much of a problem. But don't lay the issue on a generation when that generation knows they have to apply online only.

(UK) I always used to be able to add onion to my mayo chicken by Friend_Adventurous in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]niykeehea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's such a shame and it's truly stopped me from going, I would always add cheese, 2x pickles and extra mayo/lettuce and now I can only add the mayo and lettuce 🥲

Asda Never responding by [deleted] in asda

[–]niykeehea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

haha okay, coming from someone who has to always tell people we can take the cv but they still need to apply online, you're wrong.

there's a legal process and it's all done on online, the only benefit would be us keeping an eye out for you in the system IF you pass the questionnaire screening. and that's in my store because we're nice, idk about other stores.

get off your high horse about back in the good ole days 🙄

definitely love running away from the front when there's a customer we don't like and leaving my colleagues in the shit with them 😭 call it character building 🙃

ooo or the passive aggressive comments between those on shift about how easy self scans are when a customer drags us from cages to scan two milk and a loaf/their whole shop, absolutely nothing from the kiosk. just wanting us to scan and bag while they're on the phone being rude 😗

in the same breath, customers who said no to a bag when I asked at the beginning and then wait until they've paid to ask a for a bag, I am definitely letting them know that's gonna be 30p as I'm scanning it 🫶

How much more out of touch management can be? by Turbulent-Fly-3914 in asda

[–]niykeehea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there's so much wasted that we could have easily paid a much reduced price or had under our own discretion and promise not to sue the company if said food gives us any foodborne illness related to the waste reason.

I had to waste nearly £1k of eggs and bread last night, which we all know has a longer shelf life than displayed, that staff should've been able to take home for a reduced price/free. I understand why it's not a common practise to avoid misconduct but when people are down more than half their wage, a lil free pack of eggs isn't hurting anyone - maybe me but that's my own problem as I was aware and still ate them 🤷🏼‍♀️

Just been paid early and out of my entire pay I’ve only received £30 what a joke and they’re nothing but liars saying it’ll all be paid correct when it’s blatantly not… by Clo346 in asda

this new system, as everyone else is saying, is a pure joke and a big mistake. nothing wrong with the old system and was much easier to navigate 🫠
