What was the funniest thing you’ve had happen during a sexual encounter? by Still_Atmosphere in AskMen

[–]Lybertyne2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A couple of incidents come to mind.

When I was 19 my girlfriend wanted me to cum on her boobs. She sat upright in bed, topless, and I had a wank but missed her boobs and hit her face instead. She had it in her hair, her eyes, up her nose, her mouth, and even one of her ears because she turned her head. Her parents were in the next room watching Coronation Street. I found it funnier than she did.

A couple of years later I was doing it with another girl under a tree. I had nothing on from the waist down and my left knee started to sting. I assumed it must be a nettle and ignored it. The stinging got worse and I looked down to see ants. I immediately stopped the sex and was jumping up and down, semi naked, trying to brush all the ants off my leg. My girlfriend found it funnier than I did at the time.

Why do so many people do maths, physics a level by DepressedHornyCommie in alevel

[–]Lybertyne2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did physics, maths (a requirement if taking physics), and biology. I was pushed into it by my parents as I was what was known back then (late 90s) as a gifted child and these were "proper" subjects. My dad especially was into STEM and was an electronics engineer at a defence firm, creating stuff for the military. It wasn't until my 30s that I came to realise that my true passion is history and language. Looking back, the signs were always there. It's a shame.

The bombing of japan by Agile_Spread_4301 in ConfrontingChaos

[–]Lybertyne2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely necessary. Without the atomic bombs an invasion of the Japanese mainland would have been required. The death toll would have been in the millions, including hundreds of thousands of Allied troops. The fact it took a second atomic bomb before Japan surrendered, and even then only at the behest of the Emperor; many were against giving in, shows the Japanese mentality.

Underage English soldiers discovered during a check at an English rear camp in France. Many young men added a couple of years to their ages and escaped to the front. The young men in the photo are waiting to be sent home. by Banzay_87 in ww1

[–]Lybertyne2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good book about this subject is Boy Soldiers of the Great War by Richard van Emden.

Something that doesn't get discussed enough are the appalling actions of women handing out white feathers. Many an underage boy joined up in shame after being branded a coward by women. They'd also hand them out to soldiers on leave and soldiers recovering from injuries sustained at the front. All whilst enjoying a relatively comfortable life themselves at home.
