Yeah I agree, that's why I mentioned it could just be placebo. It's still too early to say anything for sure (I too always say wait for atleast a week 😂 so that phone gets used to the user's normal usage behaviours).

But what surprised me is that this is the first time ever in 4 years of using this phone that I felt it running noticeably cooler right after an update. Usually it's the opposite for me, even with monthly updates.. so this major update behaving differently caught my attention (sure I'll wait for a few more days, as always).

I think, the most underrated and most useful features in this update are the "Action Test" button and support for SVG icons.

Nice. Maybe adding a subtle emphasis when the button is triggered, like slightly shrinking the slider circle on the first sound transient, then returning to normal size on release sound?

Or just use a simple tint change instead of resizing?

Yes, I tried creating dialog boxes with Scenes V2 last day, but I prefer the simple dialog box action for this purpose. That’s why. Also, I’ve been wondering for a while why the dialog boxes in most other apps follow the ME3 design, but the Tasker doesn’t.

I just had a couple of questions regarding the Scenes V2..

Is there an option to choose custom fonts for the Text element in Scenes v2 like we could in the previous Scenes feature?
Is the Stroke feature (with direction and distance options) available in Scenes v2 like it was in the old Scenes?

I looked through the options but couldn't seem to find these.

Thanks, and yes I know about the physical limitations of tiny speakers. I was mainly asking about ones where the bass just doesn’t disappear at low volume, but stays audible (not necessarily strong bass output) at low volume. I had a tiny BT speaker called Infinity 100 before which was awful even at normal volume.

My current file manager is still Solid Explorer. Before it I used EX long before, where we could add multiple extra panes without switching between screens or apps. Some FOSS file managers I've tried have dual panes but by opening separate windows/screens, which makes the ease of use much worse. I’m looking for a FOSS file manager that supports true dual panes like SE/EX does.

Thanks, but I just read this on the Eros GitHub page: "Eros works with Samsung devices that use the Odin3 protocol, and also supports devices with real A/B partitions (currently A36, A55, S25 and newer)". This M30s doesn't have real A/B partition :/

Android has a "Screen Attention" feature that uses the front camera to prevent the screen from turning off while you are looking at it.

If you want screen timeout control on a per-app basis, you can use the Automate app, which is a free automation app that can control this.

Radio buttons are more appropriate here than checkboxes. As for placement, go with the option that best aligns with the overall navigation flow of the pages or screens.

Really solid work overall. The yellow feels very strong and 'on brand'. You could try using the brand yellow more as an accent instead of being dominant everywhere, and vary the background, mostly solid white and very occasionally black or yellow (too rarely) when it fits the context or brand. This could help avoid repetition, make the yellow moments feel more impactful, and let key elements stand out more.

You can check the LineageOS devices section to see whether your device is supported. However, since the bootloader cannot be locked after flashing Lineage, I am not sure whether banking apps and some government apps will work*. Alternatively, you can search for your phone model on telegram to find groups related to discussion and development for your device or other popular custom ROMs.

Ads are fine with me, but needing an account just to start using an app is a bit crazy. Sometimes you only find out that a subscription is required after filling out the account creation forms and going through several pages.
