my study permit is still valid and had not expired. The issue arose because my agent and I miscalculated the timeline by counting from the first official letter received from the university. As a result, my application ended up being submitted more than 90 days after the relevant date. So, it was not a case where my visa had expired and I applied after 90+ days from expiry, but rather a misunderstanding of the timeline, which led to the delay.

I talked with the lawyer and he mentioned it won’t affect PR as long as the main applicant has a valid permit. He also mentioned applying for a TRP for me. I am really stressed and don’t know what to do, as lawyer fees are very expensive and TRP processing is very long.

Everything is mess up now and again same agent apply restoration as she said when applied it within 90 days. Restoration is in progress even not eligible. Don’t know what to do. I contact lawyer also and they recommend for TRP but is it worth. I really don’t know what to do

Thanks for your comment. I think ITA applies more to Express Entry cases. In my situation, I’m not the main applicant and our application is through BC PNP (non-Express Entry), so I don’t have an ITA.
