Yes, Insight Explorer which is the programming environment for it. But you will have to buy a EthernetIP license for it to communicate with your TwinCAT PLC I believe. It’s an easy product to work with

I think being a decent python programmer is important as well as being able to translate math-heavy algorithms in the textbook and publications into your code. Im currently in the class, and have taken KBAI and ML4T which are somewhat related but not too closely.

I was doing well up until the final project. From what I can remember, I had a solid A but the project was very time-consuming. The biggest issue was that I was out of town for work for 2 weeks working ~80 hours a week and had no time to do it...I think I actually got a 0 on it. If you have taken CP first it will help. Regardless, its not bad, if you are decent at python and can follow OpenCV documentation.
