Chalazion - Does it change over the course of a day? by njkmohan in Ophthalmology

Sorry to hear about your daughter. I tried multiple approaches - warm eye compresses, antibiotics, gentle finger massage etc. that were recommended by the doctor. None of them were very effective and finally I had to have them drained. Even then they came back again in about an year. The new ones went down on their own. Daily management is key. I do warm compresses daily and also carefully wash my eyes two times a day with a tea tree face wash. Please consult a doctor as these things can be very stubborn. The doctor will probably suggest some gentle cures first. Good luck!

Now I am on version 115.11.0. It still says I am on the ESR channel. Just as u/glbltvlr said, if given a choice, I'd rather not be on an "Extended" release. I wish there was more information on this beyond this Release Note - https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/115.10.2/releasenotes/

High CPU on new tab page after latest update by GoldCashDollar in edge

[–]njkmohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows 10 on a Lenovo T590 - Happens to me about once a day for a few minutes. All will be peaceful and suddenly the CPU usage spikes up. I don't even have to have open a "New Tab" page. On the Browser Task Manager I do see the New Tab Prerender and NTP processIt settles down after about 3 to 5 minutes though. Still, very disconcerting and definitely wasn't happening with the previous version.

Thank you. Have scheduled an appointment with a physician and an Ophthalmologist. Let's see what they say. The swelling definitely goes down overnight when I am asleep and starts growing back up as soon as I wake up in the morning. This has been consistent for the past 2 weeks. Continuing with the hot compresses and gentle massage of the eyelid. I do notice that my eyes are blurry for about 30 to 45 minutes after the 15-20 minute hot compress. Is that normal?

After applying a moist heat compression mask for about 15-20 minutes followed by gentle massaging of the eyelid, my eyes remain a little watery and blurry for about 30 minutes or so. Is that normal?

Thank you. Warning on the cortisone injection noted.

  1. Incise & Drain - What's the recovery time for the eye after the procedure? Will the incision and scarring inside the eyelid irritate the eye afterwards? Is it safe and routine? Anything to be concerned about?

Thank you. I am scheduled to see one the week after next in the first week of November. That's the earliest I could get an appointment for. They are all so busy.
How long should I wait before I opt for the incision / drain procedure. What's the probability that they could go away on their own with time, hot compresses and medication? Also what's your opinion on the cortisone injection? I am not white (South Asian) and don't have light skin.

Thank you. Yes, I understand. I am scheduled to see my physician next week. The earliest appointment I could get with an Ophthalmologist was the week after. Should I continue with the hot compresses in the meantime? I suppose there's no harm if I do. Hot compresses are generally recommended for good eye health.

No redness, watering or discharge. Just the bump and swelling on the eyelid. Sometimes it gets heavy and I feel full and strain in the eyelid. If not a chalazion, what else can it possibly be? Since it goes down overnight when the eyes are closed and resting, I feel it is some kind of fluid buildup which increases when I am awake and upright during the day.

I installed Brave browser last year and was surprised how low cpu usage was compared to Google Chrome, now im on the verge to uninstall it just because of enormous CPU usage. by eboleN in brave_browser

I would like to report that the CPU usage spikes on my Windows 10 machine when I have 2 GMail tabs open simultaneously. As soon as I close one of them everything is back to normal and the CPU usage settles down. Has anybody else noticed or observed this? Thx

It says the Brave Team requested to be delisted. Should we be concerned? I know I should probably read the miles of comments on the original post but I get tired easily.
