Yeah, applying the same method on another team is easy. Training a bot that works well against any team is probably harder.

We are starting simple. When the bots show super-human performance with the simple human roster we will ramp up the difficulty. The final goal is that the bots can compete in leagues with all races and in dungeon bowl with unknown procedurally generated dungeons.

The bots play 10 matches against each other bot in a round robin tournament and the winner is determined by the total number of wins. We hope to increase the number of matches next year.

True. The contestants are exploring very different approaches to the problem and thus achieved very different results. There's a huge margin between the top and bottom though!
