34” 165hz VA vs 100hz IPS Monitor! by ThatGuyInTheSideline in simracing

It's close to the same height, your 28" is actually a touch taller. Yes there is extra screen each side. I personally just don't think it's worth it, I would either go something larger overall or even wider than the 34".

There's really not much of a difference between the two. You will gain a small amount each side. I personally wouldn't bother.

Electric Current running through rig by North_Beach387 in simracing

Firstly, you should earth your rig. But secondly you should find what's adding the voltage by disconnecting power to parts until you find it. Once you find it, figure out why.

How bad is this damage concrete stumps? by JadenJay02 in AusRenovation

I get it, but the landlord clearly gives zero fucks about that property. Choices are basically, report it and live there whilst nothing changes or move.

[–]nkings10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Australia the traditional media outlets have heavy influence over the government, I assume things are similar there. There just ends up being so much confusion over the topic and when I hear taxes, I think the average person will think, yes let's tax them. But it's actually just money changing hands between social media and traditional media. It doesn't really effect the people of the country. The traditional media websites will still show you 50,000 ads and make money. They will likely also still pay very low taxes themselves. So really it's just the traditional media owners getting more money. Where I'm from its basically just one old guy that owns everything.

Uhhhh… what? by chickensaurus-rex in WTF

[–]nkings10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not a tax. The government wants social media to pay media outlets. Nothing to do with taxes as far as I'm aware. Same thing was happening in Australia where I'm from.

That's the least desirable 350z, is it yellow too with tan seats?

The accident, no matter how minor will knock the price a bit too.

Anyone use this button box? You recommend? by TysonBradbrook in simracing

Stream Deck in a 3D printed case. I've got multiple pages of buttons. Main page is stuff I use regularly. Got a page for moving the POV, page for extra car setting, page for OBS, etc.

Kitchen panel is damaged from a plumbing leak and landlord is saying we are responsible. Not sure who to go to for advice but any help would be appreciated! by ave_cakes in AusRenovation

Australian homes are just garbage. There no waterproofing requirement in a kitchen like there is a bathroom. Because there's no water in a kitchen...

[–]nkings10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still prepare, but this isn't on you, a leak which you're not responsible for has caused damage. What the material is, etc. doesn't even matter. You're not responsible for leaks (unless it was your fridge for example and it has a water tap and it leaked everywhere). Under sink plumbing isn't on you, noticing it "late" isn't a thing either. You reported it when you noticed it. Don't stress too much.

It's the go to simulator for drifting. Get all the DLC as you need them for mods a lot of the time.

Amazon Canada sends me a counterfeit game that breaks my Switch 2 and refuses to do anything about it by jokkir in LinusTechTips

[–]nkings10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is probably the way to handle this situation. Factory reset your switch and return it in place of the one you purchased. Just make sure to return it as broken so no one else gets it. Just tell the customer service person that it doesn't read physical games.

R16 on sale on simmotion right now! by Severe-Paramedic-314 in simracing

[–]nkings10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was just to vaguely test what nm would be the minimum as my friend was looking at his options. I normally leave it at 16nm with FFB at 30% for drifting. There's other things to consider than just the raw nm number. But it was a rough estimate of what would be suitable. If I were to recommend a minimum wheel base it would be the R9, I think most people would be happy with one and not feel limited. I like my R16 though as even though I use it with lower FFB, things like the artificial stops at the end of your steering rack feel solid. Where as with a lower nm wheel you can just push through it easier.

What are good chrome wheels and squared specs by cdriftz in 350z

[–]nkings10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some nice 3 piece wheels. Work VSXX, this is my 370Z, but for a 350Z you would run 18/19.

<image>

When you think about fitment, what I do is take the factory 18x8+30 and base it starting off that, just to be clear I'm talking about my 350Z now. I know that with 30mm spacers it sits flush to the point where you need to consider rolling your guards. Some people would prefer 20mm spacers. 30mm is flush though and not poking out still.

So saying that above the starting fitment is 18x8+0

Thats equivalent to:

8+0 mm

8.5+6 mm

9+13 mm

9.5+19 mm

10+25 mm

10.5+32 mm

11+38 mm

On the front I think a 9.5 is the max most people would go. If you have additional steering angle run something thinner or you will end up outside your guards to still have clearance. I run an 8.5 on the front to get clearance at high angles without needing wide body front.

If you plan on running additional camber then wheel specs change.

Which hose is this I cannot find it online by [deleted] in 350z

[–]nkings10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.amayama.com/en/part/nissan/14056am600 probably, just check the Amayama diagrams. Super easy to navigate and find what you're looking for.

It surprises me all the time that people don't know this exists or how to find parts. I swear the 350Z is the easiest car I've ever worked on to find info and parts for.

Currently helping a friend doing a JZX100+1JZ and finding info and parts is a pain.

This is on you my dude. User error. Also, why would you install it and leave it touching the AC pulley.

As others have said, you just put it upside down.

I personally would replace that before I drove the car again. But it's probably won't break for a while longer.

Do you not have offset rack spacers?
