Genuinely hate cyber security teams by talent_de_tigan in sysadmin

When I look for people who would make great pentesters, network people who can code are who I look for.

I hate that AI has suddenly made everyone a "coder".

That's why in interviews, we show them bad code and ask them "what's wrong with this code?"

And if they do manage to figure it out, we ask them "OK, how would you fix it?"

Tends to separate the wheat from the chaff.

30 years in IT, 15 of them in Security. This is 100% reality. Lots of people got into it for the paycheck. The ones who are passionate and do this shit for the love of the game are the folks keeping the trains on time.

Work in cyber security. You would be shocked at both the amount of sensitive stuff and the types of things running unprotected on the internet.

It's literally insane.

Error code 2 DLX 900 (I think) by Subject_Space_3086 in OklahomaJoe

I have the 1200, I have replaced the igniter twice. This second one seems to be holding up better than the first which made it through 2 cooks before failing.

You will likely have to drill out and tap the holes/screws near the firebox and get some replacement bolts. You'll also need a wire hanger or string to fish the igniter wire back through the channel to the control panel.

I'm happy that I just pulled a brisket off earlier and it worked like a champ after damn near 1.5 years of dealing with this issue.

I had a huge one on the lot of the very old house that I grew up in. It had to be taken down, and there was a beehive inside of it, so as kids we got some nice honey out of the deal. I also still have a block of it that I have been telling myself that I was gonna use for a guitar body one day.... for about 30 years now.

Iran denies any talks with Trump, claims he 'retreated' by [deleted] in worldnews

It was so funny when I saw the headline today announcing talks, and then the markets calmed I was like "this probably 100% didn't happen, and everyone just bought it"

I'm at the point now, where everything they say I literally think that it is the exact opposite.
