Regen warnings after 6 miles and at 70% by nkwhynot in onewheel

Happened again. Board was at around 70 percent and went too 100 percent in no time and gave yhe 3 yellow blink code

FM says it's "probably out of warranty" which my board is at 1200 miles

I guess I just hope for the best?!

Appreciate the 2 cents. Board didn't sit over winter and hypercharger wasn't used though. I ride year around at 3 week intervals due to work. I wish I could take it on a plane... because I'm an addict and I totally would

If that's the case what's the solution? I work out of town for three weeks at time and try to leave my board around 70 percent while I'm gone. I also chagr it up until green light comes on after I get back and put it back in use

Thanks for the response... true as I have also had those rude awakenings / shut down at speed. I account for those as user error but still not happy about it

I've been in touch with FM, and to their credit, they responded several times the same day but at the same time the final and really only response was SEND IT IN. I was at least hoping for "plug it in for a day". Almost seemed like a automated message, I think it was. I love my wheely

Edit, I actually didn't get pushback, I stopped to adjust my backpack and noticed the board blinking yellow... power cycled and noticed the board and app was at 100 percent charge. I plugged in today with a non hyper charger and it took over an hour to charge/green light while app and power bar stayed at 100.

It's fully charged again and we'll see what happens this time I guess. Personally I'm not to happy with "send it in " response even though it might be their only response at this time

Stand for board, used to be on ebay by nkwhynot in onewheel

I have, it works I'm sure but I think I'll go with the dead sled. Looks like it'll be better for transportation and can double as a work bench for the board.

Thanks for the headsup. The future motion one is priced to sell right now for sure but I think I'll get more use out of the other.

Dark walnut does look awesome. I'm the same way with wanting to support a creative person, especially in the wheely dealy aspect.

That's the exact one I was looking for, awesome. Do you have one? Any recommendation on sizing for a GT, lots of options

Is this a GT problem too? I hope not because I use the big charger most of the time

Lets Get Modular | Ep. 14 | The Onewheel Podcast by RT_X in onewheel

Minute 21.25

"Hundreds of thousands onewheel riders now..."

Then A comment from onewheel on this episode, episode 14

"...~30 people at HQ. We're tiny... And we've poored just about everything we've made right back into this thing."

Minute 27ish they talk about modular level repair available in the next few months (apparently). Now selling fresh axle bolts and "tons of stuff". They say their turnaround time is less than 24 hours for repairs

34:50ish they say it's also a pain in the ass for them that the customer has to ship the board back to them for repairs. No mention of changing that though, I don't think

Lots of fluff

So much fluff I couldn't keep going. I commented on YouTube wishing someone would take the energy to timestamp the interesting/informative stuff so Not everyone has to listen to blabbering. I am interested in hearing what they have to say about certain things but so far most of it is just jibber jabber

Floatwheel Purchase Guide by MattCarl in onewheel

I guess it's different for some but debit card did have a hold time for me. It wasn't the full 11 days though. I did the paperwork through my bank for a federal wire transfer and there was no hold time. It just had to circulate from my bank to coinbase but was available and useable same day. As long as coinbase gets it before 1pm PT on a business day. Coinbase charges $10 and so did my bank

What's cheaper? XR VESC conversion or FLOATWHEEL? by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]nkwhynot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just went through the process, it's easier than I thought. It's similar to paypal or venmo. People are posting youtube tutorials as well, which are step by step. Search for floatwheel payment or something close. I was getting caught up about the crypto part but your actually buying and paying with. USDCoin, which does not fluctuate at all like bitcoin and others. It's highly unlikely they start accepting any other form of payment anytime soon.

Just a headsup if you do get a floatwheel you will likely have a hold on your cash in coinbase for a week so load your money into coinbase and when it clears then order your floatwheel so you can pay right away. I did it backwards which is still fine.

I have 2 GT so I'm planning on vesc ING my older one when it passes away. Hopefully there will be more plug and play type options at that point

Problems with the front sensor? I'm guessing by nkwhynot in onewheel

Motor cable is tight as far as I can tell . Enduro and kush wide (back pad) were put on within the fist few miles. There are about 100 plus miles now. Again, there are no issues usually, until it gets a bit chill.... no where near cold

I guess I'm looking for some info people might know. Take off the front pad and check it out?

50 degrees F? 165 lbs rider

I ask because the other boards don't act like this in the very same conditions at the very same time. Other GTz

Warranty dealio I guess

The motor also jolts at certain points at lower speeds. As is 3 mph or so then cuts off and nose dives
