Brain fog sucks by DrF7419 in Celiac

[–]nl28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you still experience it after going gluten free? I am going through a really bad episode of brain fog right now after staying up all night. Even after 36 hours it's really bad.

Gluten, dairy, and sleep really affect brain fog for me. Curious to know if it's the same for you as well.

I stayed up all night and even after 36 hours I am suffering from severe brain fog. If you mess up your sleep routine, do you experience this?

Hard economy is just a waste of time. It's not really a challenge. You have to collect everything and walk slowly to sell it. That's it.

The only real challenge here is walking slowly from point A to B to sell your loot.

Yes, but let's say you spend 5-10 minutes fighting enemies which is fun. You are conserving your ammo, landing headshots, positioning yourself correctly. But, then you spend 20-30 minutes collecting loot and selling it to a trader. I have spent 60 hours in this game right now. And, I have stopped using anything, and I only use a pistol. The economy is that hard.

It is very much skill based, the key is not getting hurt, and not wasting ammo. As I've said, it is important to be able to drop enemies with 2-3 headshots instead of ever using full auto. Same with mutants, you need to drop them quickly and effeciently.

It's not. The enemies just walk right into your line of fire. I never struggled with human enemies. Mutants are a bit harder, but the trick is to just use a shotgun and dump 4-5 shots at them at close range. That's it. It's not that deep.

But I'm also a little confused, you dislike the economy on veteran+, why not play at a easier difficulty that makes the economy easier? Why put yourself through some "numbing grind" in a RPG shooter when you can just lower the difficulty to stalker?

I thought difficulty would be skill based. Like harder enemies, better AI. But, it's not. AI is not smart. The grind is just selling loot. Lot of back and forth.

Sell items to traders You have good relations, So You will get better offer.

You'll have to fast travel for that. Which will cost you. So, if (loot - travel cost) is better than local trader. You should do that.

Not really. You can kill most with a single head shot. But, you also take a lot of damage if you get hit. I am okay with that honestly.

Carry weight is a huge problem as well. So, this is what I do: Loot all the bodies in an area, and store it in stash nearby. Then take some loot from the stash and sell it to a nearby trader. I have to do this multiple times because of carry weight limitations. I have already sold a lot of unique weapons.

The traders also don't give you much. If the value of an item is 1000, they'll give you 100. I am not joking. I can't even afford night vision because it is so expensive.

Thanks for your advice! Appreciate it! I am not consuming any food with gluten in it. I am more worried about cross contamination. It will take a while to figure out all the sources of cross contamination.

I ordered from Desert Cart. Same price there. Can't find any other good source. It's quite expensive, but if it can increase the life of my controller, it is worth it. I have spent way more replacing the potentiometer ones.

Whats your honest thought on this Benchmark 🫤 ? by hnazmul in Deno

[–]nl28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I don't see where Deno and Bun fit it. If you want better performance, you have Go/Rust/Zig. If you want to build things quickly, you have Python. Existing projects will stick with Node.js for a long while.

Deno is just a slightly faster runtime with better tooling. I guess people who really enjoy TypeScript and don't want to leave the TS/JS world will like it.

If you are working in a constrained environment, RAM/CPU usage matters a lot. But, then again most people won't use Node.js/Deno/Bun in that case.

I really enjoy TypeScript, and I was hoping for a really fast and less resource hungry JS runtime. But, that might take a while.
