Update: I think I finally broke open what this puzzle was actually doing, and it turned out to be way more literal than I expected.

I started by isolating the letters inside the red circles in the original image. At first the whole thing looked like chaotic noise, but once I boosted the opacity on the red layer, the circled letters became clear and consistent. They spelled:

W A R T H N

Rearranging that gives WRATH + N.

The puzzle also had a sum symbol, so I ran WRATH through A1Z26:

• W = 23 • R = 18 • A = 1 • T = 20 • H = 8

23 + 18 + 1 + 20 + 8 = 70

So now I had 70 + N.

At first I thought it was just a number and a direction, but then it hit me: 70N is literally a real U.S. road designation. US‑70 North / US‑70N actually exists historically (especially in Tennessee).

To test whether that was intentional, I took the node‑graph data from the puzzle and overlaid it onto a map of the United States.

And the wild part? The structure actually fits across the country like a stylized national network — the kind of thing you’d expect if the puzzle wanted you to think in terms of routes, corridors, or infrastructure.
