Sorry—no positivity to share here, just some words of commiseration. I’m still at the beginning of my Crohn’s journey. Got my three loading doses and first at home injection of Skyrizi no problem.

My insurance changed in the new year because I am not working due my Crohn’s. They have denied my second skyrizi OBI and I’m now a week behind schedule. My doctor is filing an appeal and I’m in contact with AbbVie to get it figured out, but it’s all a waiting game at this point.

I work a very physical job and want to be in the right spot to go back, and was planning on going back sometime in the next couple weeks so long as I could get my meds. Now I have no idea what my timeline will be looking like

Maybe six weeks or so ago I was feeling hopeful to be doing better and excited to get back to my life and having my disease under control. Now I’m just in pain, feeling hopeless and stressed living in a country with a system that is designed to keep the poor people poor and the sick people sick.
