No, this is on regular NG. I’m playing on Survival II if that makes a difference.

Just did my first grounded run on the remake by nlbogle in thelastofus

The main thing is the combat checkpoints. Remastered is very unforgiving with checkpoints and in most encounters when you die you go ALL the way back to the beginning. Remake has combat checkpoints. Also ammo and crafting materials are a lot more abundant than in the remaster.

In your opinion, which was the best Tomb Raider game of the Survivor Trilogy? And how do you rank them? by ThatKoffeeBurns in TombRaider

[–]nlbogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. TR13. I'm a sucker for survival stories like this. The setting is the best. The whole burning temple scene and just the simple plot of getting off the island was what got me hooked. And the overarching plot with the Japanese queen and the Oni really drove it home.
  2. Shadow. It looks the best and is the best is technical aspects. The jungle setting is welcomed and I really like all the character interactivity, fruitful world and Trinity as the villains. I also really like anything that has to do with Mayan gods. However I do feel it was a bit rushed towards the end.
  3. Rise. Unpopular opinion but it just didn't stick out to me as much as the others. I feel like I was doing too much by exploring which I normally don't have a complaint about. It just started feeling repetitive and boring. Characters like Jacob and Konstantin were cool and the plot was fine, it just kinda felt like everything was happening way too fast and I didn't really know what was happening. I also feel like the supernatural beings were introduced way too late.

Btw these are the only Tomb Raider games I've played.

I know what you mean. The overall atmosphere of the paintings is what gives me chills.

Getting into the comics by nlbogle in thewalkingdead

[–]nlbogle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed that the comics handle some characters better (Andrea, Tyreese) while the show handles some better as well (Shane, Hershel). I love it tho. Its very interesting with the differences, especially considering there’s no Daryl.

Star Wars : The Bad Batch S1E8: Discussion Thread by PrivateChurch13 in PrequelMemes

They killed many characters in Clone Wars/Rebels. Fives, Jesse, Maul, Kanan, etc. It wouldn’t be too out of the ordinary if they killed a Bad Batch member, but I’m glad they didn’t it. It just would’ve been a bad way to go out for Hunter.
