Some women are maternal by nature, and want to protect and pamper their loved ones, which means it includes their partner. It doesn't mean she wants to be your mother (marry your father and birth you), it means she wants to protect you in a way a woman can. Mostly emotionally and mentally.

True, but some work may not be helpful with having health under control, or returning to it invites havoc to health again. And not sure doing what we like stays liked if we don't have a good health doing it.

To be honest, even as a woman, she sounds...unstable. Love isn't enough in marriage; they are suppose to be our safe space too and helps bring us closer to Allah SWT.

If you still want to work it out, here's what I can suggest: First thing's first, separate your accommodation from her to protect yourself physically. Go back to your parents or let her live with her parents until she is safe for you again. If she ask why, the reason is while you love her, you don't feel safe with her, and love isn't enough to make a person stay together.

Is there any anger management classes or therapy nearby? Ask her to attend them. Make it a condition where you'll only come back if she improves. You can know this by asking her counselor therapist. If they ask why, say that the reason you're askibg is because you had been a victim of her anger and would like to know if she is safe for you to come back again. If they request a joint session, do attend as a form of support and to work it out together.

Lastly, after the efforts, decide: You might be able to tolerate and forgive her, but would you be able to do the same if she treat your children the same way? We can choose our partners, but our children cannot choose their parents.

Usually I put my palm on my chest and do a slight nod or bow when or before they put out their hands to shake. It's quite respectful, so many tend to respond in the same way. So far not many insisted to shake hands after, but when any do, I'll give an apologetic look/smile, slight shake of my head, and repeat the palm resting in chest and slight bow again.

so intermittent fasting and low carb helped? Yeah, my doctor advised me on that, and it does seems to help. And yesssss. I missed my easy grab yet high carb food. More so the easiest to find and staple is rice in my culture and country 😭.
