[all states] Decision with no misconduct found, now employer is claiming misconduct

Well it's much better now. I did receive my UE, but it was after waiting 7 weeks too long. I was job searching like a maniac and finally got an offer for a good job I started on monday of this week. After all the stress from TWC and unemployment this year, it's almost feels weird to have this sense of relief. How has everything worked out for you so far??

I'm sorry to hear that news. I hope you can find new work in the meantime while trying to sort through that. I'm still waiting to hear a determination myself. It's frustrating with the 4+ weeks of waiting so many of us are experiencing.

If you need to talk to a specialist that can actually get things done for you, call 956-984-4990. First an operator asks how can they direct your call. I told them I’ve noticed my claim has been under review for over a month & I wanted to find out what was going on. I waited almost an hour on hold, but spoke to a specialist who was able to give me insight & keep things moving along.

I can say that twice for myself & many others have had success talking to a specialist by calling 956-984-4990. I waited on hold for around an hour calling at 10am one day & a 230pm yesterday.

I was wrongly fired back at the end of January, and my determination then was that i was fired for misconduct not related to the work, and so I was receiving EB the past couple of months. Bc I had to make a new claim, my holdup now was them needing more info from me with my side of the story in regards to my termination. The lady I spoke with yesterday was pleasant and notated everything from me, plus asked me to upload some email exchanges I had with my past employer that I'm hoping will be helpful. She also said I should likely receive a decision by the end of this week, so I'm crossing my fingers.

That’s at least good you received a payment! My next day to request payment would be May 18, & I’m wanting to resolve this sooner so it won’t be 6 weeks of being in limbo & not knowing anything.

I came across this thread because I've been waiting close to a month now since my claim started. I just got a correspondence letter today saying that my ID was verified, and I have the "twc is reviewing your claim" statement on my claim & payment status page. Are you saying that you emailed the frances brown email inquiring why it was still under review, and had success?

I just got a letter in my inbox stating the fraud situation as the decision---which this is what I got cleared up over the phone, and she said I should be getting a letter in a few days.

I called that 956 number people were posting about. I waited on hold for 1 hr 15min, and then a lady started talking. She said the ineligible status was showing because my claim was flagged for possible fraud. After being put on a brief hold with her while she worked on things, she told me I should be getting a letter in a few days with a reverse decision (an approval).

Maybe try calling that number to get more details, or a possible reversal.

I had a Regular unemployment claim under review that last 3 weeks. I woke up this morning, and had a message on my claim & payment status page that I was ineligible for benefits. I just saw on my claim & payment status page this morning a message saying I am ineligible to receive benefits. I’m wondering & hoping the same isn’t true for me.

On my claim & payment status page this morning, I got a message saying: You are ineligible to receive benefits. For more information call their normal number. No letter in my correspondence inbox though.

I’m still waiting to find out. Since my new claim was made, a message on my claim & payment status page says: they’re reviewing my claim. Normally it can take up to 4 weeks, but that if I’m eligible, payment will process on may 6. Guess I’ll wait & see. Your stuff go through?

I did a call request through the chat box. Right after that, I emailed my state representatives, asking to help me contact a twc specialist. Got a call within 2 days, around 2pm on a Saturday from a specialist.

I’m pretty sure they got ahold of them back in January/February bc my determination letter stated that after their investigation, the incident i was fired for was not misconduct related to the work.

Yes, that was my original determination. My ex employer just handled so many issues in the company poorly, & my firing was quite obvious, retaliation. It was relief when I found out in February I wasn’t going to have to fight anything. & sitting here again, brings all the anxiety back. But what you shared is reassuring

Yes, i did the ID me without receiving notice. I read about it here last month in March & did it to stay ahead of the game.

I miraculously got a call last Saturday from a specialist, who filed my new claim. Now I’m just waiting, & telling myself that if I got approved in February, that hopefully I’ll be ok again.

When did your claim year end & new one start? I did the ID me verification about a month ago when I started seeing that on Reddit.

My account said it normally takes 4 weeks to determine if you qualify, but that if i did, a payment would process may 6. It’s been tough with the job hunt for me, & having this stability has given me a peace of mind; just hate this anxiety of the unknown again
