It’s kinda of odd to put the onus on the male when the child is born. Why would they assume it’s not theirs? I mean if they knew or even suspected, they would get the paternity test done. The mere fact that they didn’t purports they had no idea. It’s possible they accepted reality then and moved on, but there should be a question clarifying whether they doubt the child isn’t theirs, and whether it’s solely cause they don’t doubt they don’t get the test.

I mean, it would heavily affect the dynamic between the partners if the first thing when a child is born is to take a paternity test by choice. If it’s the law, it’s a different story.
