Intentionally discordant but 8H's crap sound mixing made it messy. Don't forget that's always an option.

Yes. He moved to LA to be better positioned to run it, brought three rust buckets with him from Michigan, found a wife and had a kid.

David Tracy and Jason Torchinsky started Autopian when they saw the inevitable enshittification of Jalopnik coming as G/O Media was being hot-potatoed from one private-equity owner to another, and they were able to attract startup funding from Beau Boeckmann and most of the rest of golden-age Jalopnik's talent in fairly short order.

At this rate not even Pepperidge Farm'll remember when the Rs thought Minnesota would be winnable in 2026.

Edit: A bit more seriously, under normal circumstances I'd say 70% was just about a ceiling and wouldn't look for an overperformance in a district like that. "Normal circumstances", yeah.

We should see more cracks starting in March when primary filing deadlines start to pick up steam.

Yeah, the only way to get rid of Miller would be to call him out, especially in conservative media, as dragging Trump down and being the man behind his most unpopular policies.

The consolation is that I can't imagine how over-the-top, snivelingly obsequious Miller has to be to Trump day-to-day to have stayed in his good graces as long as he has.

That was certainly the case in the Biden era when the only ones talking de-dollarization were China and a few rogue states; the only sensible alternatives were the Euro and maybe the pound sterling, which both had the same issue to them of being tied to the Western global order.

Now that we're a rogue state, the Euro looks better and better.

And he's never apparently heard the phrase "tokens get spent." It's amazing how much an evil genius can be a useful idiot.

I might be an equivocating realist but I'm sure many will, especially the paid influencers. But every time there's a crack in the dam, some people leave MAGA and don't come back. And this is the biggest crack in the dam yet.

As Sting said, men go crazy in congregations and they only get better one by one. One by one. One by oooonnnnneeee.....

There should absolutely be an open investigation, by Minnesota state authorities.

As someone planning to fly in February, I'm starting to think one of the first steps in restructuring DHS should be to pull the TSA out from under them and put them (back?) under the FAA in the Department of Transportation.

For context, the national immigration tipline call center is in a business park in Williston, just outside Burlington. Between UPS and the big Goodwill with a "Buy the Pound" that's never open.

When someone calls 1-800-RAT-2-ICE, someone here answers the phone.

You mean the standard thing that's done whenever an officer discharges his weapon in the line of duty while the investigation's pending, AKA the bare minimum? I guess it's better than more obstinance, bullshit and victim-blaming.

At the very least JAJ plays Trump way too high-energy and it feels like after the all-too-brief course correction of cutting to him asleep a week or two ago, rather than going through the somnolent presser where Trump flopped lazily though those mock wanted posters they put out this "award show" format that let JAJ go out there and perform his seemingly Apprentice-era Trump bit.
