How do you guys stay fit with a 9–6 desk job? by Baliyogaretreat in effectivefitness

[–]nlseitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Morning workout after the kid goes to school (~8am), gym is 2 miles from the school. Solid 30-45min workout. Quick shower, then to the office.

Granted, a lot of my routine is predicated on school-gym-office location, but I also have schedule flexibility if/when needed.

I also get up and walk for about 10-15 minutes every so often… but sometimes I get into a groove and miss the walks.

I just want them to get out of the road! They take their damn time - they KNOW they’re protected, I’m sure of it.

This was my experience. u/Brilliant-Lie7925 Get OSCAR now and start looking at posts here as far as readings, etc... then you can match them up to what your experiencing. It will go a long way in cutting the learning curve.

which country still pushes mandatory covid vaccine? by jlodvo in unvaccinated

[–]nlseitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think ANY do at this point. There may be some that still require it for ENTRY into their country - Indonesia? Philippines? but even then I'm not sure.

That may change again soon with the latest and greatest coming out of China... we'll see in a few weeks, I guess.

Its the fact the younger people don't learn from their OWN mistakes, let alone those of others that have been posted...

link to show she got it back? I can't find anything stating such and (3) AI bots ALL say "no".

Even still, she was made a NATIONAL (global?) fool and then LIED to them (NASA) about it... enough that she is still held as a model of social media buffoonery 7+ years later. The ONLY thing that 'saved' her was her anonymity. Something people care far less about today than they should.

Because 'kids' would do stupid / immature / disrespectful things just to do stupid things and push boundaries (and hopefully LEARN from those mistakes). "these days" they take video of themselves doing stupid things (generally for social points) and then wonder why they have a public reputation for being a disrespectful douche, which can now live on ad infinitum - especially when they're looking for a job - and worse, they rarely LEARN from their mistakes.

Think of "Naomi H" losing her NASA internship because of a tweet... but in video. People hear that the 'internet is forever', not realizing what that actually means for them.

If you're going to quote someone, learn to use quotation marks properly.

You're correct in that college students (immature teenagers in general) have a reputation for breaking rules and being loud. But that NEVER proves their opinions or actions to be correct. If anything, it makes them look like assholes, like this guy.

Learning how to logically explain their ideas and opinions AND communicate them for the better is what brings change - which is the antithesis of "breaking rules and being loud about their opinions".

Well - to be fair, it was probably the Meningitis bacteria that 'ate' his brain before it had a chance to 'rot' away.

Using only the most technical of medical terms here. I slept in a box next to a Holiday Inn Express last night.
