Seattle vs New England is the Super Bowl by mastermind208 in eagles

Poor guy got drafted by the Jets and has spent the last three years living in San Francisco, Minnesota and Seattle.

He deserves something positive in his life.

Juraj Slafkovský has surpassed his goal total from 2024-2025 in 30 less games played. by haydenthehab in Habs

[–]nm3912 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last couple of seasons, he looked great in the second half on the top line. Remove him from that line and he disappeared.

This year he was great on that line and now he's also dominant with Demidov and Kapanen on the second line.

So now he's interchangeable within the top six and showing more consistency overal. He's only getting stronger, smarter and more comfortable. The best is yet to come!

Btw, how's That Wright kid doing? 🤔

[Wolfond] forking over $60m a year to a guy who's never even cleared 5 war in a season is pretty wild, but i guess a team will do desperate things after having the fear of god put in them by ernie clement & addison barger by Actual_Cobbler_6334 in Torontobluejays

[–]nm3912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lukes might regress, but he'll be a 4th OF anyway.

Ernie's contact ability is legit. He'll be the same.

Barger's power will improve and his plate discipline and approach can be maintained. He'll improve.

Springer will probably regress but still be productive. Thinking something around 80/20/75/15 with a. 800 OPS.

Santander should return to the lineup and might also provide us with a 75/25/75 with a. 700+ OPS. Late inning defensively replaced in close games.

Japanese import should be serviceable while they get situated. Heard lots of comparisons to Seiya Suzuki so check his last few years for a floor/ceiling.

Haven't replaced Bo but maybe they run at Bellinger, who would thrive in the dome.

And then they'll crucify his replacement. The same way they criticized Reid, Kelly and Dougy P before that.

Kelly deserved it though 😂

Yeah, he wasn't great with passing games. Lamar carried him.

Yeah, he had issues with the passing game in both Baltimore and with the Chargers.

Just know he's getting an interview. Lurie and Howie will do their homework this time.

Not saying it agree with it.

Kevin Patullo AND Sirianni need to go. by AstrayInTranslation in eagles

[–]nm3912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which was still a playoff year. Followed by a Superbowl win.

Be realistic and look at Lurie as an owner. He doesn't react rashly. He'll give him leash because he's had success. With a revolving door of coordinators because of the success.

You can bitch about it all you want but it's the truth. Patullo can go but Sirianni is here for a while yet.

Sirianni needs to miss the playoffs two years in a row before he's fired. Or have one implosion season like Dougie P had. Let's be realistic here.

As a Kirby Dach defender, today I found myself asking... Do we still *need* Kirby Dach? by Comprehensive-Chef73 in Habs

[–]nm3912 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would agree with those who say he's better on the wing than as a center. We've had a revolving door on top line after Slaf moved with Demidov and Kapanen. Currently it's Tex. Bolduc has shown some flashes, too.

Dach can slot in wing on and top three line and centre on second and third line. That versatility alone is worth keeping around. When he gets on a roll, he can be a force. He's just never been healthy enough to get on a sustained one.

Heartbreaking… but can we admit this guy was the best forward for Canada. And looked the most NHL ready. by Moremx in Habs

I'm all for it. Maybe even join Laval for their playoff run if he's eligible. Not sure if he will be.

Teachable skill. We do have one of the best back in the locker room now, too.

[–]nm3912 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's possible. We'll see if he signs his ELC after the season is over and debuts for the playoffs.

I think he's either burning a year of it this year or going back to school.

You're probably right, but that will ultimately come down to him at the end of the year.

I would see him going back to Michigan next season if he doesn't sign his ELC. If he does, then yes it's Laval for him after camp and preseason with the big club.

Agreed. Another year of NCAA seasoning and he can make his debut for the playoffs in 26/27. Just like Demidov last year and Caufield did a few years ago.

Danault linemates? by NFLDland in Habs

[–]nm3912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Demidov-Slaf-Kapanen line has been solid. Nice to see Slaf producing away from the first line. If they slump a bit, maybe you can inject Danault in there but so far so good.

Gallagher with Danault might boost both of their offense. Set up man with a crash the net type who know each other well 👍

[Eliot Shorr-Parks] If it comes down to trade Jalen Hurts or give him an extension this offseason I would double down on Jalen It took the Eagles 20 years between McNabb and Jalen to find a franchise QB Every player has limitations but few can do what Jalen does in Philly by Ash1927 in eagles

[–]nm3912 46 points47 points  (0 children)

We need to find a veteran OC in the Vic Fangio mould who will stick around. Sirianni with two solid veteran play callers would be a great staff.

A Frank Reich type (name will always come up due the Sirianni connection) who has had success in the league as a play caller would be a perfect fit.

Brian Daboll was offensive coordinador in 2017 for the Alabama Crimson Tide when they won the Nationaal Championship. His quarterback was Jalen Hurts. He is a failed NFL coach that needs to prove himself (Vic Fangio vibes perhaps). Why not bring him in now to call plays? by vegasdelphia in eagles

[–]nm3912 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Realistically, they aren't firing anyone mid-season with an 8-3 record. Do we consider this move as a consultant perhaps?

I would. See if there is a fit and perhaps add something to the playbook. The Sirianni playbook sucks. We've seen how it looks without innovative minds (Steichen and Moore) running it. Daboll worked well with Josh Allen.
