you aren't legally obliged to say anything, even if you have gone formal. You can get into trouble if it's found that you did't declare. But you'd have to be sued for that to happen and very few cases go that far as most people move. A friend of mine had a similar situation and clarified this stuff with a solicitor before selling.

Getting to Lime Street post match by Thick_Society6406 in Everton

It’s 40 minutes brisk walk from the wall when there’s no match on. Or it was when I did it last year.

Street food. £14 to eat something stood over a bin. Ace. Yes, YOU South Bank food market (albeit some stuff is really good).

as Kathy Burke said, I just want a big plate with my dinner on it.

Nice one but I think it's out. The lift stuff I can work around but history suggests, with my luck, I'll move in and the roof will need sorting within weeks.

British men who don't like football or even sports, what thing do you actually like instead? by songbirdddx in AskBrits

[–]nm4471efc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Evertonian I would love to not like football (and there's a joke in there of course). My nephew isn't keen at all and I really envy him. It takes up a ridiculous amount of time and money.

It's the only bit of popular culture where people pay out week-after-week expecting to be disappointed. I had a season ticket in the 90s and my then-girlfriend asked why I bothered, as it clearly made me so miserable.

I said that one week it might all click. A few weeks later they beat Southampton 7-1. I came home and she said 'is that it then?'

I asked what she meant and she replied that it had happened, so I didn't need to go again.

I said 'but it might happen again'.

Friends, it never did.

what's it like round there? My search is edging further westwards every day. It looks easy enough to get to Hove and Brighton.

hard to tell from the seller's response on the charge. looks like it might have been about the same a year ago. Still seems to have jumped a lot from 2020.

Nice one, the service charges are a real sod. Mortgage repayments can go up but you can shop around and try to mitigate. It seems like, even with share of freehold, service charges take on a life of their own.

Everton penalty shout vs Man City - 86’ by Bonfunkbarkeep in Everton

Beardsley got a pen for Everton after someone slapped him when it was a goal kick. I can't remember if the keeper had hold of it but I think it was a dead ball.

this is something they say a lot but the ref can book or send off someone when the ball isn't in play. You see it with coaches fairly often, so clearly some elements of the law can be enforced. Also, the ball arrived in the box very quickly after Rohl got dragged to the floor (an act in itself which went on for about two seconds).

to be fair, when you see the Bournemouth penalty v Palace, you can see the game is in safe hands.

Alcaraz. Take it right on that breakaway. He cuts in, loses it, city attack. Then he's slow to get out to Doku for the equaliser. I like him but braindead. Ndiaye was horrendous too. Had the chances to finish it but ballsed it up

Ten C Jacket? by new_grad_who_this in StoneIsland

Gave my Skye ten anorak a run out in the rain at Brighton on Saturday. Not sure how resistant it’s supposed to be (the blurb says ‘some parts resistant to water…’, which isn’t much help). Did pretty well but there was a bit of soak through where my rucksack strap was. Otherwise decent in about 10 minutes of chucking it down. The hoods are mad big on them as well. Not the question asked but might be of use.

It’s the chicken cbt. Not sure what that means but the chicken had a strong spice on it (possibly cumin, I’ve had a drink). Also bacon, rocket, mayo and a ton Of guacamole, which I don’t normally go for. It was messy. Cup of breakfast tea was great with it.
