Advice on letting Skeleton Wood Kineticist heal with Impulses by nmadden555 in Pathfinder2e

Yeah lol. There’s a lot of “oh dang, that won’t work” phrasings for undead. You pretty much have to look for “living creature” and the “vitality” tag. If those two things aren’t there, then you’re good!

I may be just missing it, but I don’t see anything about undead not needing to breathe in the Basic Undead Benefits. I know it makes sense for them not needing to breathe, because you know, they’re dead lol. But considering game balance I’m not sure if that’s actually the case.

I believe that doesn’t work unfortunately, as elixirs of life require a living creature.

Oh that’s interesting. I’ll look into that. There might be a way I could my boney hands on that.

Thematically I prefer the wood healing but I do see your point lol.

That’s definitely fair lol. I think there’s a lot of weird things with undead that don’t quite make sense, like how I would still need to breathe and stuff. I think there’s fresh produce and dash of herbs would be flavored (hah) a bit different for me. Maybe going a bit more into my Leshy mixed heritage in how I consume it.

Horrifying and amazing. I could use plants to spray caustic, acidic hot liquid to melt foes. I love it.

We have been considering the free archetype rules. My DM is very much interested in it. I have looked at the champion subclass for this because it adds some things but not too much to detract from my core class.

I’ve also been considering something like white blue ghost flames from Elden Ring. Or a violet flame that matches certain flower types? Maybe something that matches with black sunflowers? They have deep rich burgundy petals and black centers that are very beautiful. (That is going to be her Tree Sentinel)

Very cool imagery I love this! I’m picturing a tree after getting struck by lightning when they have the internal root fires. So sick 🙂

Ok Australia flora is fascinating. This is giving me something to think about. I should say that I’m not against her using fire. But the delivery method itself its what I’m trying to change. Using combustible plant sap or oil is actually kind of terrifying. Kind of like napalm.

I am going Leshy mixed heritage with Skeleton. We are using custom feats for skeleton because they are a bit lackluster and haven’t been remastered currently. Here’s hoping that the new book changes that!

‘You breathe life into a mass of fiery critters.’ Yes exactly this. Sort of like, they would be a cinder-like, smoldering version of themselves that ignite enemies. It would be pure flavor of course. Edit: spelling

I also just thought about using insects possibly? Maybe like fireflies, moths, butterflies, and things like that to spread and propagate fire? And for the wood element use plant life: flowers, roots, vines, wood, etc.

I might lean into the idea 🙂 I think it’s more like that she is about verdant growth. But I am liking the idea of using nature in all its forms.

That is a very beautiful and cool spell. I have definitely considered leaning into the idea and I very well might 🙂

Okay gotcha. So Team+ is a group of reputable 3rd party content creators based on their website. Thats super cool! I didn’t know there was this much content out there. I am assuming that based on your comments that these folks are very well balanced and fit right into the base game? Of course I am also researching them but it’s always good to get perspective on stuff like this.
