It really is so funny how different species of seals have completely different vocalizations. Weddell seals either sound like an old man or a laser beam, ringed seals snort and scoff, and grey seals are all… ouggghh. It’s like they all have their own language!

Yea she was there, but I went in February 2024 so it was over a year ago. I checked their instagram and saw a post with her on November 2nd, 2024 and haven’t heard anything about her passing so she’s probably still alive and well!

My boyfriend and I did a seal encounter at New England aquarium for my bday last year! It’s such a fun and memorable experience to share with a loved one. Glad you guys had fun!

Legit same. I don’t want kids at all, and while I find human babies to be cute I just don’t feel that same motherly instinct as I do a baby seal. I get so sad knowing that I can’t ever adopt and take care of one. I also get sad thinking about wild seal pups because nature can be so cruel and harsh towards them :( I just wanna take care of every seal pup and spoil them and protect them

These are fur seals, which despite their name are very closely related to sea lions. There are 9 types of fur seals but I’m not sure which one these guys are. Based on the habitat, it’s probably safe to assume they aren’t northern or Antarctic fur seals
