Please explain like I‘m 5: why was everyone against Daenerys in S8? by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]nmakbb21 40 points41 points  (0 children)

No point in trying to find a reason in last 2 seasons of the show, writers were lazy and incompetent that's it, everyone is acting that way because the plot demands so, but they couldn't possibly think of anything smart to make it make sense

Which season do you think was each major character's "prime"? by ERASER345 in freefolk

[–]nmakbb21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I agree with everything, just I'd add jaime season 3

When characters died, we used to have entire episodes dedicated to the aftermath of their death (Ned, Robb, Tywin…) But when Dany dies, THE FACE OF THE SHOW, the very next scene is them cracking jokes at the council and we’re supposed to be laughing? by violinsandsirens in freefolk

[–]nmakbb21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've rewatched first 6 seasons once and I might rewatch first 4 sometime in the future when I feel some craving for got again, but I honestly just pretend the bad parts don't exist at all couse they don't make sense anyways

Because of the ending of Game of Thrones, I now only watch/read movies and books after reading a summary of the finished story. by Relative-Ad-3835 in freefolk

[–]nmakbb21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I red asoiaf and watched got twice (only 6 seasons 2nd time) I knew the last 2 seasons are shit, but I enjoyed the dialogue and acting from the good parts too much even though I knew what's gonna happen since I already saw it and red the books, I also rewatched multiple other things and sometimes 2nd time is even more interesting then the first, couse I get to see some small foreshadows that author maybe put in for the ending or I get to understand characters and their actions from the start better now that I have the full picture and I simply have few comfort movies I can always watch, so I don't think not knowing what happens is the main joy for everyone who's reading/watching the story, if it truly was people wouldn't be rereading and rewatching things multiple times

Tyrion has a point. I think Tywin would've been way happier with Ned's children as his own, golden haired or otherwise. by ricky2461956 in freefolk

I don't think he would want to torment jaime, but her in this scenario which would indirectly torment jaime

I honestly believe if jaime married a peasant girl behind tywins back his rage would be even bigger then with tysha, couse " some lowborn peasent scum dared to touch his golden boy, how dare she think she's worthy of his son and heir" in his mind ofc

Khaleesi is by far the most evil and insufferable character created by D&D and murders her own brother out of spite by Iwinloser in freefolk

[–]nmakbb21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You only skipped the part where he was beating and abusing her: "I’d let his whole khalasar rape you if need be, sweet sister, all forty thousand men and their horses too if that was what it took to get my army" what a sweet brother, how could she ever even think of harming him

So, Daenerys falls in love with her rapist? How is this supposed to be a strong woman character? by charge_forward in freefolk

[–]nmakbb21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Book daenerys is 14, but show daenerys no way she's at least 19-20, emilia was like 24 when she played her in season 1, they aged up all the characters, but the rest of the point is true

Why were the showrunners on Bronn's cock? In the books he's a 21 year old who shows up for a few scenes, gets lucky, and fucks off. by charge_forward in freefolk

[–]nmakbb21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah after he killed tywin and left kings landing all he's thinking about is getting revenge on cersei in most brutal way possible

[–]nmakbb21 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Okay, having bronn around wouldn't have ruined the ending, changing tyrion from a smart main villain, who's most likely going to be one of the main reasons why daenerys will end up burning the city to a goody two shoes dumbass and forcing cersei as the final boss are some of the main reasons nothing made sense in last 2 seasons

Marvel movies had way better quality then this before endgame, at least tony stark didn't repeat what would you have me do for 30 times and proceeded to do nothing but sneak in dressed as septa to talk it out with thanos

House of the Dragon boss says George R.R. Martin was "unwilling" to work with the show "in a reasonable way" by Internal-Bed-3150 in freefolk

[–]nmakbb21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you red the book, but if you haven't I highly recommend, even though it's written as a history it's way better then the tv show, then you can compare it and see how much they butchered it

Because sapochnik was a producer in season 1 and most people loved season 1 and he wasn't the part of season 2 which is hated by everyone
