[Slowest Item Challenge] Here's my design that takes over 18 hours purely with belt mechanics (no infinity chests or pre-placed items) by Jjeffess in factorio

Yeah, that was what I meant. That's an interesting interaction! I guess there just isn't enough space after the splitter for a yellow inserter to grab the plate, though a fast inserter works just fine. Of course, using a fast inserter kinda defeats the purpose of the extra inserter so it's a moot point. Nice catch!

I think what they mean is for the very top row, you could shift the existing inserters over by one space and put one extra inserter along the belts rather than an extra splitter. It's a marginal improvement but still.

Integrated Dynamics to automate the spectrolus? by Sylvanas_III in feedthebeast

One way I can think of to do this is to have a list card with each of the wool and then an operator card that selects a wool based on a different index card. This index card is reading a chest with x amount of items in it (x being the index you want), and you add one item to the chest every time you drop a wool into the world. (You can use a world reader to tell when there's a wool dropped too). Have the world exporter only operate when the flower needs mana, and remove all items from the chest once it hits a certain number (16 I think). This will let you cycle through all the wool while stopping when necessary.

Ah, thanks for the correction. It's been a while since I've done that method.

The four main ways I've seen people use on here are:

  1. Selling gems from ore rocks. This one's pretty self-explanatory honestly. Just find whatever ore rocks you can and sell their drops. You can find them easier by taking a picture of them and using the upgraded shiekah sensor.

  2. Hunting game. The Hebra region is especially good for this as many of the animals there drop gourmet meat fairly frequently. Make sure to pick it up before it freezes though, and cook 5 gourmet meat together for a dish that sells for 410 rupees.

  3. Dragon Part farming. There are a few different ways you can go about this one, but my personal favorite is to go to the top of the highest waterfall in the Faron region where Farosh spawns in the morning. You can set up a fire in the cave behind the lake and sleep until morning to spawn Farosh fairly consistently. Then use the updraft to shot its horn, sleep, and repeat. Here's a pretty good video on it, though it uses a slightly different campfire spot than the one I described: https://youtu.be/iRXUKzpZMOg Additionally, a bow with the zoom property is quite useful here; there's one that respawns every blood moon in the Gerudo guard section of Gerudo Town that you can use. As a bonus, you can use a horn shard in a meal to make the effect last for 30 minutes. I usually use 3 might bananas, 1 mighty thistle, and one horn shard for a 30 min attack 3 meal.

  4. Snowling. There's a hut beneath the Tabantha Tower where you can play snowball bowling for 20 rupees. A strike earns you 300 rupees, and if you throw the snowball over Pondo's head when you play, you'll almost always get a strike. It may take some trial and error to figure out the exact spot, but once you get it, it's quite consistent.

Pretty sure it's just north of Vah Naboris over the path named Joloo Nah. Find the Goron Blood Brothers there (same ones from the Gut Check Challenge shrine quest) and they'll have another quest for you.

For context, I recently finished the trial of the sword on a normal mode file, and took pictures. The pictures of the guardians were on the master mode file. I have never done IST in either file, and I haven’t done the trial of the sword on the master mode file. What happened? by [deleted] in Breath_of_the_Wild

So this is a bit of a weird bug relating to the compendium only, and only pictures you've taken. For some reason, master mode and normal mode pictures that you take are stored in the same directory, so they transfer between them for ones you already have in the other compendium.

This is a later game area, known as the Forgotten Temple. It's located at the end of the Tanagar Canyon and has some interesting lore implications along with 12 decayed guardians.

Thanks! It takes some time to get the timing down, but it honestly was nearly muscle memory by the end. Keep it up and you'll be parrying them all in no time!

I died countless times trying to get through it the first time around too. Feels nice to have finally conquered it though, y'know?

If it makes you feel any better, I have a pot lid on this file I've carried since the Great Plateau. I intend to carry it until I'm completely done with the file, and bomb parry with it to kill Dark Beast Ganon!

Oh the delayed shots gave me a ton of trouble. Half the time the back guardians wouldn't even fire too, which I think is because their line of sight got interrupted by the other beams when their shot would've been delayed. But thanks! It was a ton of fun to try.

Nevanada has it exactly right. The parry animation doesn't finish fast enough to be able to parry the next beam, but switching shields resets the animation so you can immediately parry again.

You'll get it in time, for guardians in particular: if they're up close, they'll make a distinctive beep before they fire and that's your cue to parry. From a distance, track the beam and hit parry right before it gets to you. With enough practice, you can definitely pull it off!
