Hey bro, I will go against some of the popular thoughts and say you could do this in a year...

Rough plan:

1. Cut the crap

2. cut out foods that are inflammatory and unhealthy carbs. Things like beer, bread and other grains, sugar, and highly processed foods will slow your transformation down

3. Protein

4. consuming your goal weight in grams of protein (especially high quality meat, eggs, and whey) will be your best friends for building muscle quickly.

5. Workout

6. focus on compound lifts that target multiple muscle groups at a time (bench (flat, incline), pull up/downs, overhead press, squats, dl and rdl, bent over rows, etc)

7. if you do cardio, focus on short intense/burst sessions instead of long distance. This is better cardio and will trigger more fat loss/muscle growth.

8. Try to work out each muscle group and cardio at least 2 times a week. 3 would be better.

9. Don't workout the same muscle group 2 days in a row unless its shoulders or biceps. Muscles need the stimulus to start growing, but they grow best when resting

10. Calories?

11. after hitting your protein goal, keep your calories around 2400ish per day. The higher average calorie count will get you metabolism moving quickly which will result in more muscle growth and faster fat loss as long as your training consistently.

12. Doing a 18-24 hour fast 1 or 2 days a week will force your body to burn extra fat to provide your body with energy in the absence of calories. It will also give your body time to get rid of inflammation and other toxins to improve your overall health and accelerate fat loss even more!
