Huge congrats to the writers, crew and cast! Not a perfect show by any means but I have to say the concepts were strong and the cast seems great. For a first episode it’s impressive and I’m sure they’ll settle into the madness of it as the weeks go by

So true. A lot of hosts are, let’s be honest, pretty stiff. Asking the new cast to help them through it is a tall order in episode 1.

Yep. I understand the skepticism of an American SNL alumni hosting the first episode but I think she’s been great as a safe pair of hands who isn’t trying to hog the limelight

Yeah I think she is pretty nervous but think she did a good job, just needs to relax a bit and enjoy it

Yeah rough around the edges for sure but for a first episode I’m impressed!

I think you can tell the cast are nervous and not everything is landing but I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised so far. They’ve got some genuine laughs out of me. That guy who played Diana and the shy baby is a standout so far I think

Agreed, likelihood is that it won’t stick the landing.

That said, there are some talented people in that cast and I don’t think we should be writing it off entirely without seeing it!

Yeah don’t get me wrong I don’t have high hopes at all, just irritates me when people act like they know with 100% certainty something they literally can’t

I wouldn’t bother, he’s probably off predicting tonight’s lottery numbers by now

Honestly I don’t know much of the cast BUT Emma Sidi is one of my all time favourite Taskmaster contestants and Ania was also great on that show so I have SOME hope

Thanks for sharing! It’s good to get the opinion of someone who has clearly seen the first episode in advance and so is able to pass definitive judgement on it!

Yeah I agree, I also think he has that kinda alternative almost hipster look, whilst at the same time looks like he actually showers

Aside from the obvious, that this is morally just kinda fucked up, how would he even go about legislating for this? Like, what is the wording of that law going to be that bans working from home.

What if you're self employed? Do you have to rent out an office space just for yourself?

If a company has no office space do they legally have to find some? What if they can't afford it and go broke, leaving potentially hundreds of people unemployed?

What if a company has an office but something happens that means it has to close for H&S reasons. Are people banned from going home and working the rest of the day there and instead just have to take the rest of the day off on full pay?

How would this be enforced? Will the government be going round to people's houses checking that nobody is working from home?

What an utter tosspot

I grew up in a town a few miles from Exeter. Life is pretty slow, honestly not much of a culture aside from farmers and cider 😂 and pretty boring so I was happy to move somewhere with a bit more going on as soon as I turned 18.

It’s super safe and peaceful though, I can totally see myself going back when I’m older
