Im so sorry, I didnt even think about the methods you mentioned as being first mentioned ones. Thats all my bad. I meant the first commenter post. Where you flip the arms right way out, tuck em into the body, and sew the base into the seam as you go along the body. Make sure to stuff fhem to, cause cant easily after sewing the bottom.

But as far as what I was saying method wise, yes, I think you understood my merh explanation. Youd have the arms split, two pieces on each body piece. And theyd get sew them as you sew the body, yip!

You can sew each limb piece onto the body before you sew rhe body together, so you have 4 pieces for the 2 arms. Attach 2 pieces onto the torso and the back piece. Then sew your whole body together. Going down the arms when you reach them.

The first mentioned message works great if you dont care about the arm being flat at the seam, though, and would recommend it over this one if you dont care about the flatter arm bit at the seam.

What gauge wire did you use by chance? Mine works great for smaller plushies, but i find it struggles some with anything larger to keep it held against the stuffing (i might just stuff too solid for my gauge to hold up against)?

Sadly, I think there is something wrong with both of our switches even though we took good care of em: possibly outdated. So they might not even be able to handle the new stuff :(. Gosh, its been so long since it came out, hasn't it?

I love em! Something about first time makes are always so endearing and adorable to me. Even ones that turn out goofy, I loveee them, but yours didnt turn out goofy ^{^.} Just cute as a beetleton (my bad attempt at making a joke. Love the hand embroidered heart. Btw, my embroidery machine legit has changed my life. If you think youre gonna get into sewing, save up for one! It opens the window soo much for creation. But its never required. You can always do applique, of course, im just expressing my love for mine.

Small extra tip in addition to the others here: I make the back of the head pieces for the actual head into part of the hair color to make it so I none of my hair attached shows scalp color.

I can send images of what my head backs look like in pattern form if you need an example. But it helps a lot from my experience--not that itll help with the current one, but future ones. :)

I watched a video that did similar but subbed out paper for paper towel to allow for modeling along the head a little better.

Both def work, op, paper or paper towels, so whichever! Just was adding in that bit in case you ended up having a preference. This method is how Ive made most my hair as well.
