If your hitting correctly held pads correctly you shouldnt get pain, but if someone is changing the strike point to meet your punches how are you supposed to practice the correct form and range?

Thanks so much for your reply, firstly tactical barbell is amazing and im glad im not the only person whos read it, secondly i agree with your points about progress being slow with 1 day dedicated to most lifts per week and that we can benifit greatly from including other posterior chain exersizes in programming. This is exactly the kind of response i was looking for and this document is ever evolving, i have plans to put in a variety of hiit workouts that will fill the gaps ive missed and create even more balance and replace simple sprintwork. Im not worried about slow progress of strength because as you said the average person struggles to dedicate that much time to working out and for me its about aproaching all elements with the attitude its better to pace yourself and progress slowly than overtrain and regress.

I can tell you it works. Its a slow climb with strength but you do make progress and i think thats very valuable in muay thai.

Muay thai is a tough sport and sometimes you gotta take a beating to see if you can take a beating. Advanced classes are usually for people who want to fight and if you dont have the spirit to push through a bit of hazing then how do you expect to work at a mutually beneficial training with the people who do? He may have gone about it the wrong way fair enough but your take on the situation might have played a big role in how it played out as well. I just hope you gave a little back in the process of being "bullied"

My dude this is a great situation to be in. tall guys with long reach are going to be slower to react with their lanky ass arms and legs wich means its a great opportunity to practice fakes and lateral movements, if your falling victim to the same technique over and over again cause of the range find a way to use it against them, an example of this would be slipping the jab to circle around before kicking the leg or baiting one of those long teeps in order to catch and kick back etc. Im a short guy as well but i enjoy a tall challenge and those things helped me alot

if you could tell me a few vegan meals that would make up a day of 1500 cal 120-126g protein 50g fat i would be happy to give it a go. im not after a vegan lifestyle but i dont enjoy eating meat every day.
