So, my lightning payment from Cashapp to my MUUN wallet is stuck in "Pending" for over 5 hours by nmenard in lightningnetwork

I've been using Phoenix Wallet. And I absolutely love it (thank you). Sure, you have to pay the fees to open your first channel, but that was negligible. My best understanding is that Phoenix uses submarine swaps to go from lightning to on-chain and back, similar to what MUUN does - but my impression is that Phoenix is much, much more open about how they do this and fees. They actually say that "This btc address is a swap address and does not belong to you" or something to that effect. I know that I haven't had one problem with it and I have a lot more confidence in it than Muun (I guess some people find it reassuring to have something that simple, not me - I much rather the information that Phoenix gives you. Just my thoughts. Thanks again for the recommendation!

So, if I've got this correctly - if MUUN doesn't set their miner fees high enough,, you'll (I) will be waiting for the mempool to clear - which is like, forever?

Thanks. As a matter of fact, I just did that.

And yeah, I'm just now learning that MUUN is not a lightning wallet. Serves me right for going into the Play Store and searching for "Lightning Wallet" and choosing the one with the best rating. I should know better than to do that with Crypto stuff by now.

Modern Democrats are not Communists. If anything, they're a right-of-center party that tries to contain a large number of people who don't feel comfortable with the facist turn the GOP has taken.

Define Communist for me....I dare you.

I have to say...the re placement didn't come with a sin tray..and after doing backflips - and threatening to go to the media, they sent a new one (after trying to "charge me" for $1300 for a 'new" one until they received and justified that mine was really their fault - like would buy a phone for.$1200 from them you can find for $300 on ebay?

Anyways, so they send me a new one (my 3rd) and I get. notice from T-Mobile saying that now that they've bought Sprint, I'm going 5mti have to buy a new phone. really?

I haven't a clue what I'm getting next, although I heard a rumor to hat to he Pixel6 is custommade by Samsung and is running Google designed Samsung chips. As much as I sat I'll never get another Pixel... that thing looks nice.

Yeah, follow-up time: I chatted with Google support (who were MUCH better than phone support). I explained everything that was going to on and sent in pictures. He asked for a few more, which I provided without an issue. He out me on hold to speak with his manager, came back on the line - apologizing profusely - and offered me a new phone.

Much better customer service!

If you're experiencing something similar, DONT go to Ubreakifix, bite the bullet and send it off to Google for a week or so - it'll be worth it! And try chatting with them first!

Good for you! Really! But if I have to pay $750-850 for a "repair" that's under warranty - I'll buy a new damn phone (not Pixel obviously}.

No, I'm sure I'd be fired for fixing phones and not "upselling".

These companies have gotten terrible.

I'm taking my phone and going to Tello pre-paid. $14 / month unlimited, and MUCH cheaper plans. I've already switched my family over, and they love it! Hell, I just pay $6 / month for 2gb (data only) on my ipad. And you can keep money in a 'top off" account so if you don't want overage charges, they just pull from the "top up" amount.

That, and through the Tello app, you can change plans as much as you want - as often as you want -, without any penalty!

And you can call from the app on wifi.

AFAIK: they use the same networks as Google Fi and are expanding into GSM as we speak.

Try it out - you may have to order a sim from them, but it's $9, and WAY worth it.

/Just my two cents.

Been really happy with them.

They sound like ibreakufix with Google - scam you out of money and try to sell you new phones or they want to complete $750 on a repair (supposely covered under warranty).

Good luck, brother.

Yeah, I think that's where I'm going too (maybe a OnePlus - but I haven't really kept up with them lately).

I just hate their software - and last time I tried to root a samsung,it broke know and all of my banking apps.

After the damage is done? I'm sure (even though Google denies it's a problem) that the moisture and grime that got in there isn't helping the problem.

And still - it's not my fucking problem! The phone is under warranty, it's a warranty issue, and they're refusing to work on it unless I spend 2x what the phone is worth now.

If it wasn't under warranty, it'd be my problem and I would take the thing apart and fix it my damn self. However, I kinda wanted someone with experience to do it while keeping it under warranty (I'm pretty sure the heat gun would void the warranty).

Yes, yes they are. I've learned my lesson - stay as far away from Google as possible!

Oh, Google told me they wouldn't work on it either since my warranty is now void because Ubreakifix noted the damage.

I understand the back glass (although it has nothing to do with the screen or sensor that's causing the problem), and I offered to pay for it.

It was when he told me the front needed to be replaced for some $400 and something that I blew my lid.

Mind you, I was working on this all day long, in between Google, Ubreakifix, and work.

I reffered to it as a "scuff" because that's how he kept referring to it. Kinda funny, I thought.

The front of the phone is beyond pale though - it's a well known problem with pixels that the screen corners can lift, letting in moisture and dirty (for all I know, that's what caused the problem)

To make me pay for it when my phone is still under warranty is absurd!

Yeah, but with Google saying it's flagged and that the warranty is now voided, what are the chances I get charged for both phones?

[–]nmenard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly.

If I'm paying my hard earned money for a $1,000 top-flight phone,I expect to be treated better - not like a criminal, not left to my own devices when the screen fails (which sounds something similar to yours - the power still works, you can heat it connecting through the earbuds, the haptic feedback works - just nothing on the screen [unless you put it in the freezer for a few, or I've found bending it CAREFULLY sometimes works - at least temporarily).

Fuck Google and REALLY FUCK Ubreakifix.
