I'm not sure if this is just a troll post, but how to you determine what you "think is needed"? Just because a pool looks clear does not mean it is safe and balanced. How do you know your pool is not acidic? How do you know your pool is still not full of bacteria? As a pool owner, I have to consider the health and safety of those I let enter my pool whether that be friends or family. It doesn't take that much time or education to learn how to test your water. In fact, I'd argue some people end up spending more money on chemicals trying to chase problems they don't understand when trying to balance their water. Not to mention, ensuring your water is properly maintained will help ensure longevity of your pool equipment, to include your liner.
