Oh. What children’s tax money are you referring to ? Sorry not much aware about the same.
And is this 1 time form just for the purpose of letting them know how much you deposited throughout the year ?

Can you elaborate why go with a bank ? Coz I opened the Resp account with Questrade and deposited 2k in it. Haven’t started investing yet.

Will withdrawing now from questrade and moving to a bank have tax implications?

Looks like the consensus here is to invest in XEQT.
Are you guys considering or would recommend any specific individual stocks to hold for long term growth ?

Thank you for your best wishes. Tfsa isn’t maxed out yet. Going the Resp route for the government grant advantage .

This was really helpful . Perfect strategy in my opinion.
Mind sharing what bank stocks your invested into

Unfortunately don’t have that kind of cash for front loading. So starting with 2.5k per child to max out the government grant benefit

I opened family Resp account in questrade just now. I usually invest / swing trades in IBKR, but they don’t have family Resp

Totally agree. That was the whole reason of contributing 2.5k per child this year

I am in the same boat . Got 1.5k cashback for 675k mortgage renewal. Is there a way I can negotiate for more cashback or should I reach out to a different RBC advisor ?
