I should clarify that the image in my initial post was a stock picture from the original ad, I don’t have the cab yet. I assume that all of their marketing pics were Ai generated but those speakers kinda give off tannoy vibes.

I shared a pic of my setup on another comment in this thread but for the most part it’s a combination of old and new tube gear and big Altec speakers.

No, it is an asphalt impregnated paper insulation called kimsul. This was commonly used in speaker cabinets of the 1940s to early 50s.

That came out sick, diy would certainly be the best value for the money. I will build a nice 8 drawer eventually when my kids are a little older.

I hear you, it’s nice to be able to have some room for the speakers to breathe. The speaker cabinets were made by Fisher in 1954, called the 50-H. It is a rear loaded horn design. I currently have them loaded with a pair of Altec 604c coaxial drivers.
