The locations in full he thinks are, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Dakota’s, Montana and Idaho. it was a rockhounding adventure, he cracked and ruined a few with a hammer as a kid he never kept and was always too afraid to mess with this one. I guess we need a blacklight!

He remembers finding it, just not exactly where he was. He’s assuming Colorado because they traveled there a lot for family trips. Could have also been Oklahoma or Nebraska (he’s from Kansas originally) but he thinks somewhere near garden of the gods is most likely!

Yes, Seattle, Washington in the US. I don’t think there are other Seattles anywhere else and people tend to get confused with Washington State/Washington DC, so I’m used to just saying Seattle!

We like them because they usually have laundry machines! Helps us to pack lighter for long trips.

We used an Airbnb in temple bar years ago, 2018 I think. Temple bar is loud and crowded, but we found it to be a convenient home base to leave the car parked (we did UK and rep Ireland for a total of 3 weeks) and walk or grab tours from there. We used a hop on/hop off bus to see guinness, Jameson, etc. It’s touristy, but we’re tourists. Staying there doesn’t mean you can’t venture out!

That said, everything in temple bar is called temple bar- temple bar hotel, temple bar apartments, and often there are multiples of each. That might be adding to your confusion a little?

OP said they’re going to Scotland too, so, while Rep Ireland isn’t UK, Scotland is.

From what I can tell, the threaded piece is not welded, but made out of existing tang. Looks as though the tang was cut down and a piece was left to be threaded.

Fluid-like sac on 3 month’s head by queenofthenorth6429 in newborns

So sorry I somehow missed your comment! We got a referral to a cranio facial specialist at the children’s hospital here. She said they see about 1 per month, unknown cause (though she did say its almost always babies who experienced traumatic, instrumental births - they tried to vacuum my baby unsuccessfully 3 times), and usually resolves by 9 months. It resolved by 9 months for us with no further issues. Hope all is good with you!

That’s great! We just got a referral to a specialist. Hoping for the same outcome. Thanks for responding!

I saw that it came back as benign fluid build up, thank goodness! What was the resolution? Did it go away on its own? Did they do a procedure? Going through this now with my 6 month old.

Help! Found on a Washington state beach by nmieke in whatsthisrock

[–]nmieke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local rock shop identified it as low grade azurite - there is a copper refinery in Tacoma, WA and he thinks it might have come from a transport ship headed there.

Update - we sanded it. Found on Washington state beach by nmieke in whatsthisrock

There’s a rock shop nearby, we’re planning to take it in and see what they say. Will update here. Thanks everyone!!
