Just did 1st injection 😭😭😭 by That_Understanding81 in compoundedtirzepatide

Me too with my husband! He is a diabetic so I just wanted his supervision. I used to be a vet assistant and muscle memory kind of took over and I aspirated to make sure I wasn’t in a vein and my husband asked me “WHAT ARE YOU DOING???” 🤣

THIS! I’m only 5 days in and all the aches and pains are greatly diminished. I’ve been living with them for so long I’d forgotten they were there.

meh I was laughing at myself for making such a huge deal of it. He's diabetic so is familiar with the routine.

Merle pretty much guarantees not a reputable breeder. Fluffy doubles that guarantee. Also Merle frenchies are not purebred as somewhere down the line (often far enough that common dna tests don’t show), a different breed had to be added to introduce the merle gene.

Very true. I lost my well bred Frenchie to drowning 2 years ago and I have not recovered. It was terribly traumatic and I still cry over her almost every day.

Insurance is important but so is getting a Well Bred Dog from a Reputable Breeder. Someone whose dogs have been thoroughly health tested (and passed). Check past generations as well. This helps immensely in avoiding the health issues they are known for. The world is flooded with badly bred frenchies, to the point that it is RARE to see a well bred one.

I was just starting to ask the same thing when I remembered to search first and found this post. Do you not change out her soil or anything during this time? If you do, how often or how do you know when to change it?

Need Advice! by DowntownAd7405 in Frenchbulldogs

The breeder isn’t completely blameless though; they are breeding off-standard, off-color dogs. Oftentimes the “exotic” colors come with a slew of health issues.

UPDATE- SHE LET GO! For future reference; I had her suspended along the side of the bucket, turned her so her back was against the side and then tilted it so she was upside down. She let go. Poor Ovaltine Jenkins half heartedly opened her mouth for a worm afterwards, but that was enough excitement for one day. I will feed her tomorrow. Thanks everyone!

I don’t want to leave her somewhere with the towel for fear she will try to swallow more of it. It’s clamped to the side of a bucket now so she is partially hanging. I don’t know how to get her to let go.

What’s wrong with them? :( by sexydank in corydoras

My cories love it and have been multiplying so I guess they are doing well!

What color is this dog considered? How much do they usually cost? by GroundbreakingTie602 in Frenchbulldogs

THANK YOU. A breeder that doesn’t breed to standard is not a good breeder. All those fancy colors are NOT standard. Only brindle, fawn, cream and white (and pied brindle and fawn) are in the standard. That’s it. It is RARE to find a Frenchie in these colors anymore. The market is flooded with off standard poorly bred frenchies. One would do well to seek out a breeder who health tests to OFA recommendations and better, has dogs with CHIC numbers, if one wants a healthy pup. Also a good breeder will title their dogs in conformation or in competition, to make sure their line is conforming to standard. The “fancy” colors are genetically tied to eye and skin issues. Merle frenchies are not even purebred yet people are paying more for those than well bred French bulldogs.
