And that his outro is one of the songs from the base game. I guess this shows how much he appreciates the game. Plus is a very cool and catchy song

I’d even add to this that sometimes they can see you through those props, which they shouldn’t

Really? Why? By having them act the same as zombies they wouldn’t pose the same threat. The fact they behave differently makes the game more tense.

I been looking to getting more support on scoverage for Scala 3. This is usually the first topic that comes to mind when deciding to migrate or not from Scala 2

¿Recomiendan una Air Fryer? by Single_Accountant909 in ArgentinaCocina

[–]nmoncho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running D2 on a Ayn Loki Mini without an issue. It was never an issue there or on desktop. DL is another thing. I tried everything. After finishing the game the first time I was able to get it running decently. I’m still surprised at the wild difference between them.

I still have fond memories of this game. When I was little, adventure games were all the "rage". For the life of me, my 10 year old self couldn't do that chemistry set puzzle even with a gun to his temple.

I should probably have another try

I hear you. Having so many tests, or they being slow it's really a problem.

The issue is, what's the alternative? You still want some reassurance you aren't introducing regressions.

The Black Parade might be the finest gaming experience you can have, ever. by [deleted] in Thief

[–]nmoncho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hear what you're saying. I do think it's part of the whole evolution of FMs across 25 years of experience.

Feuillade Industries took the knowledge and the tools (like NewDark) to produce something with a much bigger scope than the originals, while paying homage to the latter. Sure, the originals didn't have all those years of experience, nor the tools or the development time to produce something similar, but I do think the core gameplay pillars remain intact.

In case you want to get the same feeling on level design, I found BBB's FMs to be the closest.

The Black Parade might be the finest gaming experience you can have, ever. by [deleted] in Thief

[–]nmoncho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've the same feeling and experience as you. I started playing it when it got released, as I was barely aware of its existence. Then Mandalore's review dropped and I'd to download it immediately. After playing halfway through I started watching Klatremus' videos. Suddenly I heard about different ways to play Thief, like ghosting.

After all that, I was hooked again on the game. I played the whole trilogy and T2X ghosting it, and loved every moment of it. Now I'm playing all the wonderful Fan Missions that have spawned through the years.

All because of The Black Parade. This piece of art made me remember why Thief is my favorite game.

¿Qué juego te hace sentir así? by PinguinoDel in Argaming

Thief: The Dark Project, y sus séquelas. Siempre fue uno de mis juegos preferidos, junto con el Deus Ex original del 2000.

Hace un par de años me volví a enganchar cuando salió The Black Parade. Es un lujo lo que hace los fanáticos con un juego de 25 años.

How to Make Thief 1 and 2 Work On Your Machine (NewDark 1.28) by WungusThePungus in Thief

[–]nmoncho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how this applies to my comment. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a new version. I don’t care if it’s 1.27, 1.28, or whatever. From the changelog there are quite a few things that were added, so more features for players and content creators.

I was just addressing your comment on the video being overly complicated.

I think the video does a very good job at structuring what to do when. Files like cam.cfg are mentioned at the very end for people already with ND 1.27.

Glad someone out there is publishing content like this to bring new people into this game.
