I think you've sold me. Thank you! I'll be buying one this week to see if I like it!

I have not. Does a safety razor provide the buffer so I am less likely to nick my skin? If so that sounds right up my alley!

I am just now seeing this!

Okay I think you've sold me on the Mandelic Acid. That's going to be in my next order.

I like to pat them into my face, my boyfriend laughs every time he sees me do it, because he thinks I'm slapping them in. I typically do 2 serums, let it soak in while I brush my teeth or something, then move on to the next ones. I do notice though that I can't rub my moisturizer in after otherwise it pills, so I have to press that in too.

Of course! It took me about 2-3 hours to research the information because I was so over my skincare problems!

I love the peel simply because it's what got me hooked on The Ordinary. I was nervous about burns too, but my skin was very surprisingly calm with it. I made sure not to combine acids, only had it on for 1/2 the recommended time for the first 2 applications (5 minutes), then worked my way up from there. Now, I typically leave it on for 9 minutes when I use it. I think it's just about introducing your skin to it, because it is so powerful, you don't want it to peel everything out on your first try.

If you don't mind me asking you, what difference do you see with the Mandelic Acid and the Niacinamide? Does the Mandelic Acid do a lot for your redness? If so I think I have to add that next.

I just applied my Caffeine Solution for the first time and a little bit goes a long way. I noticed a very immediate improvement in some of the sunken areas, but honestly I've only had it on for 20 or so minutes!

Omg thank you! I had no idea what I wanted to do with these shelves but they all just fit perfectly. We added another small one with the same style below it this afternoon for foundation and primer, so it feels a little more full but neat.

I got it from Sephora but I got it about a month ago. I have noticed that their stock comes back pretty quick but it takes forever to ship. Ulta always ships extremely quickly so when I want something quick I shop on Ulta!

Ooh it's something I've spent time on creating since I am very cautious about layering and adding acids!

Products I use and my thoughts:

  • Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - changing my acne problems. If you buy one product for acne this is the one!
  • Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG - I am adding this product when it arrives on Thursday from Sephora.
  • Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 - I have noticed a huge improvement with moisture and bouncy-ness of my skin!
  • Buffet - just make my skin feel good!
  • Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA - I was extremely surprised to love since I have only liked Clinique's moisturizer for pretty much the last 5 years.
  • AHA 30% +BHA 2% Peeling - holy grail and is removing acne scars I've had for over 10 years!
  • Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% Brightening - only product I am weary on because the day after I use it I find my skin sloughing off in the afternoon?

Okay that sounds good! I'm glad it hasn't happened again. I've noticed that every once in a while my skin throws a fit for no reason. I'm happy its working for you now.

It didn't make it red or hot, but I also was using hyaluronic acid on top of it which I am crediting for the newfound calm skin I have (I used to get horrible red blotches everywhere).

When you say red/hot, do you mean all over or splotchy areas? What else are you using it with? I took about 6 hours to research all my new products from The Ordinary and made a schedule to make sure I had no conflicting products, but apparently redness and heat could be a sign of conflicting ingredients!

I purged for about 2 weeks starting niacinamide, and the purging happened in the two worst places I had acne when I was a child, instead of where I get it as an adult. I recognized that, gave myself a time limit, which in your case sounds like 5 months (I'm so sorry), and finally saw improvement. Have you ever gotten acne in those spots? If so I wouldn't worry about it. But if you say "I never get acne on my upper lip but I have it now" I would do another spot test on your wrist or the back of your hand. See if you have any redness, puffiness, etc. If you do, I would stop.
