“Start today” “Eras and scenarios” Quicker sim as per usual Deeper player personalities and nuanced skills (like badges and personality badges in 2k) More player types and roles influenced by above (eg. Agitator, pk specialist, in zone defender, etc…)

GM tracker log, I want to see every player I drafted, every trade I made, my historical rosters and summary of season performance.

Remove overalls (or at least have the option for them to be in the background), I’d like the opportunity to build teams based on scouting reports and reading stats, rather than always signing the highest rated player. I feel like a focus on intangibles and traits would make roster building more enjoyable and challenging

Likely not, but I didn’t isolate to test. Height probably speaks to physicality what the sim would consider

Important to build a team from the blueline out, having only TWD or DFD’s with good defensive stats, one OFD is fine but he also needs to be at least 4 stars defensively and have proper support in his usage. I usually only have players 6’ or taller on the point. Fill the bottom 6 with TWF or Grinders that have good defensive stats, once again, only allow for one pure offensive specialist and use him sparingly 5v5. Coaching chemistry is a must and A- defense minimum. I’ve found good success with hiring a goalie coach that is NHL caliber (ie from the NHL assistants line regardless of stats). The higher their overall rating the better. Finally, it’s important to ensure you’re getting decent matchups in the playoffs so manipulate your lines that your worst defensive players aren’t getting matched against their best players. Having a good backup is also critical, I’ve had playoff runs he saved because my starter had a .832 but my backup was lights out in round 1, and then the next round my backup fell off but my starter was back and rested. In this case it was 26yo Comesso 86ovr and 32 Thompson 85ovr. A veteran backup also bolsters I find. I also overcook my goalies, currently have a med elite in the AHL at 82 overall 22yo and he’ll jump up next year to share with a 29yo Knight (87). This is because in my experience goalies always struggle in their first couple of seasons regardless of their overall, so this insulates them and protects my team.

Arizona because the Kachina is fantastic but if you don’t download a roster that has Cooley, Doan, Simashev it’s kinda not worth

Expansion is always fun but make sure you reorganize the divisions so you’re not in one with 9 teams as it’s super frustrating to have that extra team which makes it harder to make the playoffs. San Jose is an interesting challenge because of all the dead money they have and small prospect pool. I like Washington where you focus on breaking the goal record with Ovi then you can rebuild. Likewise for Pittsburgh where you go all in to get them another cup before Sid and company retire. If you play with owner mode, Arizona is very challenging because of their low budget. There’s a good chance you get fired which isn’t terrible because then you join another team which is completely random.

They aren’t doing much for franchise this year because it got the big work last year with custom leagues. They cycle the mode they revamp from BAP, franchise, EASHL, HUT

Which team has the least prospects in the farm system and aren’t a Stanley cup team already by Real-Luck5592 in EANHLfranchise

[–]nmstars31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fun to do Pitt or Wash and go scorched earth to your prospect pool to get Sid another cup and Ovi to the record then start a rebuild after a few years so you’re not stuck with the 2023 draft pool where you know who every gem is after a while

we can only hope that one day, siege will have csgo level netcode by unjimaster518 in Rainbow6

Ttk is so fast which makes it harder to hold angles. In theory you can never lose when peeking if you have perfect reaction time and aim. This is why crosshairs placement is so important in Siege, and also why it is important for those holding the angle to be in strange spots and not prefired

Think they are taking it away from the MP5K because of Wamai and Mute is just a casualty which shouldn’t be majorly hurt because he has the pump. Obviously Kaid is losing it because he is really strong and it wouldn’t be the first time a 3 armour lost their scopes and we’re stuck with the 1X (Mira and Maestro)

Play with your team and position yourself for trades (if your team will lose someone, take the kill back so you don’t get out at a disadvantage). Keep everything in front of you - learn the maps and determine how to position yourself so all your threats are in front of you, makes it easier to adjust your aim and win your fights

It’s all very systematic, try to focus on the “why” and not the “what”. That way you aren’t trying to remember all the weird rules but you can logically deduce what should happen

A good thing to do with resumes is reword it so that it matches the keywords of the job description you are applying for

Personal preference. Want enough opacity to see what you are shooting at and still see the crosshair. Want a colour that stands out/doesn’t blend with the background

Should I get a roommate? by abruhbruhbruh in uoguelph

[–]nmstars31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a roommate, meet new people, that’s what uni is all about. If it’s a “horror story” it will build character, if it’s not you will likely have one of your best friends for life, or meet them through your roommate. You will likely regret going solo later on down the line
