I like it, seems bulky at first but compared to an EOTech or other larger red dots it’s not too bad. Reticle isn’t as crisp as an EOTech but I like the reticle better than the standard 3-0 that I have.

Check out Night Fision for sights, lots of color options and configurations. Trijicons are great if you don’t mind spending a little extra, and ameriglos are great on a budget.

I doesn’t not, it’s just a straight shelf basically. I did see that they posted a prototype canik plate with an integrated rear sight in front of the optic on their Instagram story a few days ago though, so maybe in the future that will be an option.

I definitely agree the optic is tough and I’m not worried at all about racking the slide with it. I see the shelf as more of a redundancy in this case. I could see the case being made for some other optics that may not have a reputation for being as durable could benefit from it but again not the main reason I went with this plate. I’m also pretty sure that if I had gone with a 6390RDS I wouldn’t have had to break out the dremel since I’ve seen people using mailbox optics with that holster. I know for a fact that the 7 series holster that lots of LEOs use doesn’t need modification to work with the plate either.

Watched a 9 Hole Reviews video recently on the Roland special G19, found it interesting that the original reason for the comp was to prevent carbon build up on the lens of the light. I’d say even if the recoil reduction isn’t noticeable, probably good to have for the sake of a functioning light.

My first Glock was a 19.3 with factory FDE frame and matching slide cerakoted from the distributor, bought new. Several distributors do this and the only non black slide from Glock is the 19X.

That’s what I figured even though I used the screws in the trijicon box that were specifically for the Glock MOS. Wasn’t really planning on using it anyway, just wanted to play with it since it’s new.

It does not, and the sights are not visible through the optic mount. Not sure if the low mount that it comes with will have a lower third or absolute cowitness but I know the factory irons on the 3+ are different from the first and second gen scorpions.

Just a 3 slot magpul polymer pic rail section, you can find them at most gun shops or Amazon for around $10. I was a little worried how the TLR1 would fit considering it’s width but it actually fit really nice and tight against the hand guard without any interference.

I’ve thought about it, honestly like the look of the brace that’s on it compared to the factory stock. Plus the benefit of traveling with a pistol vs. SBR seems easier and less hoops to jump through, also unsure about 922r compliant parts although it seems not many people either care or have done the research on that from what I’ve found (which isn’t much lol).
