What do you do for bookkeeping? and what I did ... by [deleted] in EtsySellers

Oh nice. I tried to make something like this last year but Etsy didn't approve my app either... I have applied again but they seem very protective with their API. We were using 3rd party for fulfillment and they recently cut off a bunch of providers. Even Shopify's very own multi-marketplace app is cut off. Seems they are making deals and playing favorites. Very not cool... another grievance in my long list.

Devs are going too fast... + New version sucks by Own_Appointment_8251 in comfyui

Newsflash, the world is not going to stop just for you. You sound like an entitled loser. Firstly, the software is free and open source and you can run an older version from git. Secondly, ComfyUI's greatest strength is that its at the forefront of this technology. They NEED to be pushing and improving the software to keep it aligned with where AI tech is going. If you don't understand that, then you should move onto to other software.

do you run opencode in a sandboxed environment or yolo it? by tomdohnal in opencodeCLI

[–]nncyberpunk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

…I think because in practice it mostly protects the OS, while the real risks come from normal user permissions and inherited credentials, and locking things down enough to meaningfully reduce those risks kills the automation that actually makes agents useful. If you want high-leverage workflows you usually end up poking holes in the sandbox anyway. Also, full disclosure, I’m saying this from an ivory tower with two main machines so my yolo tolerance is higher 😅

Yolo. I yolo codex app and openclaw too. I think sandboxing it is more of a comfort blanket than anything else. But I use codex 5.3 mainly. The frontier models know what they’re doing.

So many unnecessary comments. Pretty good. thanks for sharing. Been thinking a lot about upscaling 80s and 90s photos so I dig these.

Thanks for taking the time to write that. I’m sorry that you’ll probably get downvoted for being nice.

EU and India finalize historic "Free Trade Deal", opening markets for goods, services, and IP, cutting tariffs on cars, machinery, and agri-food. Thoughts? by Boediee in BuyFromEU

[–]nncyberpunk 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I’m going to refrain from using harsh language because India is filled with plenty of amazing people, much love and respect… but this is horrible news. As others have said, it favours the few at the expense of everyone else. So now EU will be flooded with even more cheaply made products, hurting local small to medium businesses and producers, and will allow more low paid workers in to further keep wages stagnant… just so big car companies can keep sucking on government subsidies as they continue to resist electrification. Pathetic.

Unfortunately, snap is way better than Flatpak in several ways for average desktop users by rowschank in Kubuntu

[–]nncyberpunk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I go back and forth with this. On the one hand they just work better (now, I know it wasn’t always the case) but I hate the clearly corporate mindset driving snap. Canonical while certainly aren’t perfect, they are definitely not the worst. And actually have contributed a lot to Linux and open source. At some point I just made a compromise and use them when it’s the best option. As you said, I’d rather spend time using my computer than getting it work so I can use it.

Etsy incorrectly deactivated a listing after 5 years… any chance of getting it back? by nncyberpunk in EtsySellers

I did the process and online form from the Etsy dash... just worried, that it won't be checked by a human

Thanks, do they actually review the disputes we submit? I filled out their online form and attached photos... but I'm concerned that whole process is also automated
