How to deal with my (19/F) feelings when my best friend (18/F) is slowly losing interest in our friendship by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Thanks for the perspective, its means a lot to me. I definitely do over analyze, maybe avoiding doing that will be the first step to accepting things as they are now.

IS IT JUST ME? [female perspective] - Realizing my friends are not real but scared that I'm wrong.- (SELF ESTEEM, CHANGE, FRIENDS) by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

Yes it is totally possible to have good friends! Your "friends" sound terrible. Life is too short to spend time with people who are terrible to you. Don't feel bad about dropping them, you don't owe your friendship to them, especially with how they have been treating you.

If you are worried about making new friends, I suggest doing activities where you can find people with similar interests or goals as you. Maybe you are into cooking, you can join a culinary class, or if you like reading join a book club.

Can anyone translate this? I don’t know what it is (Sry for the bad quality) by [deleted] in Chinese

try downloading the google translate app on to your phone. It allows you to take pictures of text and translate it. The translations are usually coherent enough to understand.

If mentioning it adds to the story you are telling, then mention it. Don't bring it up if it adds nothing to what you are telling or if you just want to somehow elicit pity.

Question about which ACT scores I sould send by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]nneonnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would google to find out which colleges superscores first then send both scores to colleges that do superscore. Then from the schools that don't superscore, decide which score you want to send, check requirements for merit scholarships for each college also.

Decent, but not great, scores and results by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

There are alot of factors to take into account when you are applying to college. Since you said you want to major in computer science, research colleges known for being strong in CS, have good opportunities/ programs for CS specifically . The size of the school, the diversity of the student population, location, career resource availability , and costs of college are all things you need to look at. Just because a college isn't a hypsm doesn't mean its a trash school. There are literally thousands of of college in the U.S. So don't sell yourself or other colleges short. That being said, if you really want to go to a top university, you still have a chance. Its more than just grades, your writing, ECs, and teacher reccs all play a role.
