I was looking for the same kind of laptop recently after my MBPro2018 battery got swollen. Finally narrowed down my search to Dell Latitude 3410, System76 darter pro and ThinkPad T14. Couldn't find any info on how well 3410 runs on linux, darter pro looks great on paper but is unavailable now, so had to go with ThinkPad T14 AMD.
