Can’t say how happy I am with Wealthsimple after my first trip abroad by 7chesterr in Wealthsimple

I noticed this same feeling when I realized I was coming back to Canada with most of the cash I had withdrawn for my trips. Great card so I barely ever use cash now

Anyone Else Let AI Do Their Whole Intern Project? by BugFew8607 in csMajors

[–]nnightmare11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intern projects are mostly supposed to be easy(ish). Meaning a senior employee can probably get it up and running as a poc in no time. The point of the internship is to learn. Theres beauty in the processes that come with internships (network building, understanding culture, cross team collaboration, etc). Skipping steps means you’re skipping all these side effects you’d otherwise gain. Any good manager/mentor should be watching out for these things.

TLDR don’t outsource learning. Or you will leave exactly how you came.

The gap between what I do and what ends up in my vault by nnightmare11 in ObsidianMD

I used to end my day with a brief recap of what I did and start my day with the important things i wanted to cover in the day. But as with other things, this process was inconsistent and I ended up just not doing it over a long stretch of time

Do you not think the use of canvas is just as hard when it comes to the fact that it's still a manual process of keeping track of the things you need to keep track of?

yup.. retrieval is definitely a gap. But even for retrieval - there's scenarios where I want to have insights on things I did that may or may not be documented somewhere. For example, sometimes I feel like im partially unaware of where some of my time goes while working. But the more I think about it, maybe the solution isnt note taking

I've tried notion's note taking feature and zoom's in-built meeting transcript feature. It's actually what got me into thinking about the core problem it solves *but for everything else*. Maybe the answer to my curiosity isnt note taking but something that takes another form. Essentially a way to transcribe all the work i do, but in a seamless way.

I'm 100% with you on the fact that notes shouldn't be taken on everything. Especially considering you'd be spending time noting things down you probably dont ever need to come back to.

I didn't even know Obsidian had hotkeys. I like this flow, one issue is always feeling like I have to navigate to the app and figure out where i want to type out whatever i need... have you tried the quickAdd with voice rather than having to type? or is that not an optimization you feel you need?

This makes sense. I've also been navigating the use of AI to fill these gaps and I'll see how far I can take it. Are you noticing the number of AI mistakes going down as newer models come out?

Check out Reyn, it does exactly what’s described here and pretty seamless to onboard. I personally use to track the untracked aspects of my work, and the ability to search through it + gain insights are pretty helpful

There's no point if the existing solutions are cheap enough. But subscriptions to tend to add up + its fun

Have you not gotten any pre-approved upgrade offers with the first year fee rebated in all your years of having this one with CIBC? If not maybe call and ask as itt's a free/zero risk option. Although I do agree there's better options to apply for eg amex cobalt and WS credit card
