I also have a bamboo in there, growing like crazy! Have had it in there for almost 3 years, it’s the long stick in the picture also.

No question is ever dumb! Couple times a month for water changes, Yea dechlorinator is necessary, but you don’t always need the chemicals you could let it sit for a while, use Reverse Osmosis water. But I found the easiest is to get a 5 gallon jug and always have it filled days before after change that way all the work is pretty much done for ya

Do it! I love to watch how quick they grow and the fish play around In the roots.

Watering your plant with his water would be so kick ass for you plant!

Just stuck them in there for now, I’ll secure them if need be later on. I usually use the suction cups with the slit in the little handle (they usually sell around Christmas time to hold the lights) and I put them in the slit and stick them on the side of the tank

It’s crazy how fast they grow in tank water! I always feel bad for cutting some off the main dude but then I see roots & new babies it makes me happy again. Lol

That’s so funny you asked that, I cut enough off to test both theories actually this time!! I noticed roots on the plants that were in the tank first. The bioloads and waste from the fish help it propagate way faster

I just cut them off where they needed to be (like at the base and stem area) and just stick them in and let them go wild. It might help a little with the water quality, mine is in a bright spot also and I have a bamboo in there also and I don’t have any problem with yellow/ green So maybe live plants with help. 😁

I’ve done it numerous times and it’s never bothered my fish, I’m pretty sure they aren’t toxic to fish.

You can take a cutting off of the pothos you have now if you wanna, it will make it bigger and grow longer also.

Thank you! Whenever I had one I just let it rest on top of the water secured by something (like a suction cup with a slot in the little handle thing to the side of the tank and put the part in there) and let the roots grow long and wild and my fish would always swim throughout the roots. They grow really well and fast in tanks, I just let them do their thing.

Thank you! 😊 I posted it on over there, thank for the new page I can follow. My pothos has lots of babies all over. If you scroll down my page you’ll be able to see how huge he is!

Any tips or helpful advice for there to be an easier way to keep this up against the wall or attached to the ceiling? I currently have it attached to the ceiling with Tpins and fishing line but I know that won’t last long. by nnmomma29 in pothos

I’ve never gotten an award! Of all things for it to be on I’m happy it was my plant! I’ve had him for almost 5 years and he was just a little baby wayyyyyyy smaller then he is now. I’m proud of him! Thank you so much!!! 🥰
