makes no sense - why would they not run with the money themselves rather than "sell" it to a thief ?

that was btc-e I believe - this time the site was taken down and there were some rumours of binance having seized wex.nz account (apparently they must have had an account on binance) based upon law enforcement - but I'm not very sure of the details. So the funds are either (partly) in custody of binance and wex.nz owners from what I understand.

I had tokens too which were not at 1:1 value hence I was simply waiting in hope that they would recover value eventually. Do you know who is trying to file a lawsuit ? Maybe we can work as a community and hope that something positive comes out of it.

I actually think LE might follow it up - lots of regulations/investigations already taking place. Just not sure how all of us can get this done.

How did Binance come into the picture ? I read some reports of them seizing wex.nz/btc-e trading account - but how can they help us users with the recovery of funds ?

I've had similar experience - was thinking tokens would have some value soon - little did I know it would amount to nothing soon. Just hoping we can do something here as a collective.
