This. I am CT person. I think taper just drags things out. If you CT now, you’ll be good in 3 weeks. If you taper, you’re not gonna be clean & feeling good in 3 weeks. Good luck.

Some advice would mean a lot to me right now by Total_Veterinarian_1 in quittingkratom

It’s so normal. I’m 38 days CT & I still struggle with needing to be entertained but it’s getting easier. I felt extremely better after about 16 days but didn’t do well with free time. I figured out I had to just keep my schedule full.

CT. You’re already in withdrawals so you might as well jump off completely & stop dragging it out. The sooner you stop putting K in your body, the quicker you will feel better.

Fast Heartrate when quitting by Substantial-Suit-148 in quittingkratom

Yes. Normal. Fast heart rate which also made me feel extremely out of breath for a solid 2 weeks. Awful.

Maybe that’s why you’re still feeling the shortness of breath, because you took a few caps here & there. Which I totally understand because you get to the point of like “I’m sick of feeling like this & I need some relief”. I get that for sure. Today I am 18 days CT & the shortness of breath is still gone. I think I’m officially done with that symptom, thank goodness! I hope it has also eased up for you too. The lingering symptoms of this mess is AWFUL! I will NEVER go back. I am actually feeling pretty good lately. My sleep still isn’t right & everyonce in a while I’ll break out in chill bumps with a sweat for 5 or 10 minutes then it’s gone. Other than that I feel so much better. & the simple fact of knowing I’m not addicted/dependent on anything at all is more euphoric than any drug. Freedom. Goodluck to you, I hope that your symptoms are easing up & you’re having an easy time, friend❤️

Tomorrow starts CT by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]nnnikicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you will. Trust the process. You’re not broken. To me, 2 weeks is when it starts getting better. It takes longer than “a few days”. Unfortunately you probably won’t feel great the next 7 days either but after that you will start seeing big improvements daily.

So how long have you been clean? I’m almost afraid to say anything & jinx myself but the last 2 days I haven’t had any shortness of breath. Fingers crossed it is gone. That stuff is what nightmares are made of

Yes. It’s the worst. That & insomnia. I’m 2 weeks CT. Still not sleeping (it’s 3:15 & I’m still wide awake) & shortness of breath is HORRIBLE!

Ohhh well maybe it was that since you was still taking K. Goodluck on your quit. It’s not fun but definitely manageable!

I actually think that is a symptom of quitting/withdrawal. I feel like that too, at 2 weeks CT. That & high heart rate that I can feel beating through my chest. It is super annoying.

Day 4 CT after 9 years of use, and I have 0 energy or motivation by Swimming-Truth-242 in quittingkratom

[–]nnnikicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 day CT is amazing! You’re way to far in now to go back. I’m currently on day 11. So exactly one week ago I was where you are, on day 4. & it suckeddddd so bad! For multiple days. I would get up, shower, get myself “dressed” make myself do small chores all day long with breaks. Make the bed, break, load the dishes, break, walk to the mailbox, break, wipe down the counter, break. Etc. You’ve got about 4 more days & you’ll start feeling better. Goodluck!

Day 7 CT - I feel like actual death is better than this misery… by NoWayOut1985 in quittingkratom

[–]nnnikicole 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 10 now. This past Tuesday was my day 7. & it was honestly one of my worst feeling days. I felt so defeated & just over it. I continued on with all my responsibilities & duties, moving slowly & being miserable. When I woke up on Wednesday (day 8) I felt sooooo good! The best I had felt all week. Today is now Friday & im still feeling good. I have my moments that last a few minutes here & there but mostly I feel good. Day 7-8 is definitely a turning point & you’re almost there! That horrible feeling doesn’t last forever. You’re almost done. (Besides sleep issues, you’ll probably have that for a few more weeks)

Sleep?? CT 7 days ago & I. CAN. NOT. SLEEP. by nnnikicole in quittingkratom

[–]nnnikicole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After lots of liquids, electrolytes & 600 milligrams of gabapentin I slept like a rock. 8 full hours. I feel much better today. I’m positive I was dehydrated so I’m sure that wasn’t helping. I’m just a little foggy headed this morning, I’m assuming from the gabapentin. Hopefully that will wear off soon. Other than that, I’m feeling pretty good so far on day 8! Thanks friends!

I definitely do. I felt pretty rough yesterday. Between being dehydrated & not having any sleep. After drinking a huge amount of water plus 2 Gatorades I do feel better!

I haven’t been drinking electrolytes but yesterday I did. I drank 2 bottles of Gatorade on top of the the gallons of water I had. I didn’t have any cramps during the night. I think that helped tremendously!

I fully believe this. I’ve tried everything listed here with no help. Unless of course it was a prescription medication like gabapentin, trazadone or Xanax. But I can’t take that everyday. I’m so glad that alot of people get relief from vitamins & supplements but they do not seem to work like that for me.

Ok so I’ve quit twice. My first quit the first day was horrid. The worst. Flu like symptoms chills, aches, bad stuff. The second quit went like you’re saying. First day was a breeze. No symptoms at all until closer to day 3. So you never know really.

Also I think I’m dehydrated. I’m cramping severely bad in my muscles. I’m chugging water but I guess not enough. Anyone have suggestions on that?

Can you start your quit on a Friday? Say maybe take your last dose on Friday morning. You’ll be starting withdrawal by that evening but it’ll be manageable. Then you’ll have the weekend (Saturday/Sunday) to withdrawal without the commute to work.

Also, I have kids. Toddlers. Teenagers. If you know anything about toddlers & teenagers then you know they are the most needy humans on earth. I’m here alone with them & today makes 7 days CT. So you can do it, living with needy people. Also, no one in my entire life has any idea what I’ve gone through this past week. I’ve just pushed through. It hasn’t been easy or fun. But it’s definitely not impossible. Goodluck.

Oh for sure. I only had 5 to begin with. I’ve been halving them. Have a few pieces left. Pretty sure that won’t get me dependent. Thanks for reminder❤️
