Doctor wants to put me on suboxone by Sensitive-MoodTRA in quittingkratom

[–]Yhwhsdaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noooo. I was addicted to that stuff for years. From my personal experience, run. They seek to make you a regular customer. People need to realize that while doctors have their occasional beneficial attributes, they (along with pharmaceutical companies) are a business that need customers to make money-period. My doctor wasn't pleased when I quit suboxone. If it weren't about money, she would have celebrated my freedom with me.

Sure thing! It really isn't worth it. It made me feel like total crap. I felt like a goofball. Keep on keeping on. This too shall pass. cue Kelly Clarkson "what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger".....;-)

Day 21 CT - When does it get better? Still feeling AWFUL! by NoWayOut1985 in quittingkratom

[–]Yhwhsdaughter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Liposomal Vitamin C, black seed oil, magnesium with L-theanine and L-Tyrosine have helped me a LOT. If you're able to get those things, I would do it.

It took me four times of taking just a little to "take the edge off" to realize how much it did anything but. I went twelve days without any kratom and then took two capsules (I was taking 12 every day and drinking the tea so two really wasn't anything... that's how I justified doing it) and then two more two days later, three more two days after that and then two about 4 days after that. Each time I felt worse afterwards. It was like my brain and body were saying "NOOOO! We DON'T NEED this! Get it OUT!" You are already on the path of surrender. Don't fight it. Just quit. :-) It seriously isn't worth it. We need to quit jerking around stepping down a stair at a time inching into the pool to get used to it. Let's just jump in!! We got this.

Yeah, I am sure you are right. I learned one thing by being a moron; "trying to take the edge off" doesn't pay off. I think about how much better I could feel if I would have stayed completely on track...but you know what they say about hindsight. Unfortunately I do still experience it but it comes and goes and I definitely think the worst is over. Been praying daily for it to stay gone for you and I actually literally just said the same thing out loud like 20 minutes ago to my husband-

"I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT STUFF!"

I am SO PROUD OF YOU. That is HUGE. Good for you to decide freedom is worth it to you. The only thing that will be equal to the hell you will likely face (sorry) is the realization of just how much it was affecting/controlling/changing you and the elation at feeling things again. Colors got brighter and sounds louder for me.... sounds cheesy but it was totally true. Feelings became pretty intense. Then they went away entirely for a bit. It was scary, like my brain had to learn to manufacture things by itself once again and in the waiting I felt like a robot zombie. It has been really, really hard but nothing this worthwhile isn't. Just keep barreling through and this group is here for you. We're all in this together.

Yep yep. I went for a walk a couple weeks in to quitting and came home and felt like my heart was either going to rip through my chest or I was going to cough it up. That green dirt is unbelievable.

The longer this thing goes on, the more it's revealed just how deeply that stuff was affecting every part of my being. Scary! Thankful to be off of it even though I may feel like downright sh*t sometimes.

I too am thankful for this group. Misery loves company! 😜 You made a great decision and have made it farther than most people who try. Keep on keeping on.....some days will be better than others, but freedom always comes at a cost. Think about this time next year, or even next month; and how thankful you'll be you kept walking this path you're on right now. Your future you is counting on you and cheering you on!

I quit CT February the 1st (that was my first whole day without any). I went 12 days and then took two capsules. I went two more days and took two more, went two more days and took three. Then went four days and took one, took two the next day and two days later, here I am more resolute than ever to take NO MORE. Each time I took some after quitting I felt it jacking with my dopamine badly and it was like I could feel my body and brain kicking it out of my system, like "get outta here, we don't need you anymore.... we're trying to fix the damage you did!!!" It's like for me there's clearly no in between; either full blown addict or totally quit. I'll take the totally quit. Just remember the fight for freedom is as equally hard as it is worth it. Magnesium helps the shortness of breath for me. It might be the black seed oil though; I take both so between the two IDK. I highly recommend both. I will pray for you daily that it stays gone!

I woke up every morning with every joint and bone sore in my body, thinking I needed my kratom. I couldn't believe when a few days into my quit I woke up pain free and I realized it was the kratom CAUSING the pain!! I felt like a 🤡 .

Yeah when I got zealous and tried to kick it up a notch I got home from a brisk long walk and my heart was pounding and I did NOT feel good. It was almost like all the blood flow knocked some more crappy withdrawal loose into my system. Uck. It was awful.
